I taught French in a Tokyo French academy for 2years. My students ranged from 18 to 65 years old.

I don't like to be called a teacher. I prefer to converse with you informally rather than having a structured, 'first this than that lesson'. I throw in slangs and idioms from time to time to enrich your vocabulary (and make you sound cooler).

I would be glad to share my passion of languages with you on Italki. I already have some relevant experiences in teaching French online (as I have done a lot of exchanges with awesome language partners) and I also got more conventional teaching experiences when I taught English to Thai kids and teenagers, beginning of 2017. You can count on my motivation to make you French progress, while having fun and sharing our cultural differences and travelling experiences.

I believe that speaking is one of the best ways to ensure that you remember and reuse vocabulary and grammar in the long term. Thus, my goal is to hold conversations with you in your target language as much as possible while adjusting to your level - of course. My experiences abroad provided me with a wealth of exposure to people of all walks of life, many different cultures and different languages. Those made me deeply aware of the difficulties of language learning while in immersion, and I would love to share what I learned through those challenges to assist you in your language learning journey!

I worked 1 years as teacher in center of training course, this experience show me the importance of the methods to learn something and to see fruits of your efforts ! I'm very sociable, what permit me to build a good relation with students and to make lesson time a friendly time.

I am empathetic which make it easy for me to be sensitive about the needs and the feelings of the student. I can also adapt easily and adjust my teaching style if needed. I am able to make the student feel comfortable and I think that it’s something really important when you want to learn and practice a new language! It’s important for me to listen and my priority is the student’s needs.

During our first encounter, I will chat with you to get to know you, assess your level and define your objectives. This can be also be done during a trial lesson. It is important to me that lessons take place in a relaxed atmosphere, with material adapted to the interests of the student. Please let me know about what motivates you to help me tailor your lessons. Learning is easier when it is fun ! I am very patient and believe there is no shame in making mistakes, as it is a part of the learning process. I will gladly repeat or explain something several times if needed .

I have given language lessons before (beginner to intermediate level) in Spanish and English. So these are two languages ​​that I speak fluently. I'm actually learning korean, wich is a very different language that mine (difficult sometime) so I know exactly how it is to be a student and what kind of teacher and class I want.

I have six years of teaching experience as a tutor. During this time I've met amazing people with diverse backgrounds - programmers, entrepreneurs, university students, artists and many, many more. The vast majority of my students are also expats living mainly in French speaking countries and this is something I consider to be my greatest asset - having lived in France as an expat gave me the opportunity to be able to empathize with a student and understand what are his or her needs in terms of learning a language. Although, the pleasure of actually speaking it is my biggest mission. We enjoy the process, we have fun, we try to make the language serve us - not otherwise :).
