I'm a professional English, Russian and Ukrainian teacher with more than 7 years of experience and languages are my passion.

I have some experience teaching mostly 1st and 2nd graders in Norway. When I started, it was just a job, a way to make money – but I quickly realized that teaching was something I could see myself doing on a permanent basis. I found it very rewarding and I myself learned many ways to make learning fun for the students, and to implement it in everything I did in the classroom. Working with the children made me absolutely love teaching, and I believe teaching adults is just as rewarding.

I have experience teaching languages ever since I became fluent in my second language, English. I used to help my schoolmates with conversation skills as well as with grammar. I also gained experience teaching both Polish and English to my neighbours' children from the very beginning. During the high school time, I attended multiple international projects including student exchanges and Berlin Model United Nations. This experiences helped me gain language advancement. I've been providing tutoring and conversational practice to people learning English and Polish from around the world. I do my best to adjust my teaching methods to each student so I can most effectively boost their potential.

As a teacher I’m guided by a line from Don Quijote, “Cada uno es hijo de sus obras.” (“We are all the children of our accomplishments.”) and an anthropological observation that “education is identity change.” Learning is more than the acquisition of new skills, it’s the emergence of a new identity. I first saw it in my dissertation research, and then I began to see it everywhere. Learning anything new, especially another language, means becoming someone new. I have a university degree (Bachelor and Master) in teaching languages and I have been teaching German, English and Spanish for over 5 years to students of different ages. My oldest student was 80 and I think he is a good example that it is never too late to start learning a new language or enhancing your language skills and taking your language learning to the next level. I have a B.A. in English for Cross-Cultural Communication with a qualification of a teacher and a master's degree in Mediation and Communication with specialization in translation studies. I've worked as a teacher in a youth center in Armenia and taught online in a Russian language school called ''Skyeng''. Now I work in HBLS, a language school in Brussels.
