I'm an 29 year old Irishman who is passionate about education, reading, eating, exercise, and self-improvement. I love to learn about culture, whether through movies, music, food, or literature. I've always loved working with people to help them better themselves, I've taught 100's of hours of 1 to 1 private lessons, worked numerous summer camps, held countless online Skype classes, worked extensively in classroom based scenarios, outdoor activity based lessons and more. My classes are intended for students of B1 - C2 level. For 60 minute lessons, we will finish at 55 minutes to allow me to prepare for following classes.

I studied English and New Media at the University of Limerick in Ireland, and then went to teach for a year in the United Arab Emirates. I taught at a private school that followed a very strict and rigid teaching methodology Combining technology and teachers, students used tablets, smart boards, and online platforms to become more autonomous and empowered. Following that, I moved to Madrid, Spain, and taught there for 3 years. There I had more freedom to carry out the classes to my liking. I recently moved back to Ireland and have been teaching online extensively for the past several months.

My goal is to guide and facilitate. I'm a huge believer in everyone's ability. When it comes to learning a language, opportunities to organically practice and speak the language is invaluable for a language learner. My lessons are centered around conversation. Our introductory session together will focus on your goals, your interests, your passions and how we are going to put these all together to benefit you the most. This is all done in as natural and organic a way as possible, so that you feel comfortable and confident throughout the lesson.

I can say that Séan is one of the best English teachers on italki. I'm so happy to be his student. I can recommend him 100% (but if honestly, I wouldn't like to do that, because it won't be easy to find a time-slot for my lessons with him in the future:))) Thank you Séan.
