I am a native English Teacher from the UK with 28 years teaching experience of all levels from complete beginners to proficiency level, working as an IELTS, CAE & CPE Course Writer & Tutor for the British Council, and worked in their exams services department. I have taught Primary & Secondary School students courses, & taught & created BUSINESS COURSES in both Business Writing, (CV preparation, emailing, reports & proposals) & Business Speaking (for negotiations, presentations, public speaking, media communications, interview preparation & meetings).

I make sure that students get to practice and develop their language in order to be at the level they are aiming for, in a relaxed and friendly manner where they can gain confidence using new language. I can help especially in exam preparation having worked for many years in this area. I will give you shared documents, pdf's, text books & web links, as well as my own materials with outlines of essays, emails and spoken presentations. We will go through model language to target your aims and you can send me, or share any written work and I will then help you to sharpen it to succeed in your goals.

I make sure that lessons are based around your needs. In my 28 years teaching and course writing in schools, colleges and for the British Council I have helped students get their IELTS, FCE, CAE and CPE scores and study at University at all levels, from BA's to PhD's. I have helped people immigrate, helped doctors and nurses working using English, helped business people raise their writing level, give presentations and improve their negotiating skills, get jobs they need through interview preparation & helped students pass exams! I do this in a fun, interesting and friendly learning environment, practising the language that you need to get where you want to go!

Dougal is an EXCELENT teacher. Specially if you are looking for business classes. He helps you to summarize your ideas and to make things easier for your presentations.
