I am a native English speaker from South Africa and I have taught English Second-language students and adults from countries like China, Brazil, Czech Republic, France, Italy Germany and my own country.
If you know some English and want to improve, or if you are a beginner, please send me a message to tell me what you need help with. Then book a trial lesson so that we can work together and see if we are a good match.
I like to keep things simple and teach one thing at a time until the student is very certain and confident, then teach something new. That way, we build upon knowledge, confidence and certainty; and the student will not get confused. 我提供的课程和我的教学风格
My lessons are relaxed and I am very patient. I like to keep the lessons interesting and fun. We use a lot of real examples of things to help with increasing vocabulary. We can role-play and practice conversations or different scenarios where you need to use English in social life, business or travel.
Among other subjects, I’ve studied linguistics and English and am TESOL and TEFL certified. I’ve also studied some very basic, introductory courses in French and German and I speak Afrikaans as a second language in my own country. So, I know what it feels like to learn a new language!

The lesson with Terry was perfect, and I improved my conversational skills and also got some grammar and pronunciation tips. Terry is happy to share his knowledge and teaches wisely. At the same time, the lesson was fun and mostly informal, so the conversation was relaxed and nice. I was very impressed when I began to feel more confident during the conversation, as fluency and confidence are my goals.
