Hi, my name is Karina, I am a Guatemalan living in Auckland, New Zealand. I love chatting across a broad range of topics in my native Spanish language, but some of my favorites are Photography, travel, environmental issues, animals and wildlife, language learning, nutrition and much more! I work as a self-employed web designer, and in my spare time, I love helping students to improve their spoken Spanish

I love speaking with people in Spanish, helping them to find more confidence, to be more at ease, and to enjoy this beautiful language. What motivates me the most is seeing people go from unconfident and shy in the language, to being really open, happy and confident in their spoken Spanish. Since I have arrived in New Zealand, I have been teaching Spanish to the locals here. I love it, and I want to share some more with the rest of the world.

I offer a conversational approach to learning Spanish. I will encourage you to speak only in Spanish, about whatever interests you. In this way, you can stop worrying about making mistakes, grammar rules, conjugations etc, and just relax and enjoy the language. This is how language learning should be. Fun and exciting. Of course I can help you with pronunciation, grammar explanations, and spelling, but my primary goal is to get you speaking Spanish and that you have an enjoyable time doing it.
