I have had over 50 lessons with Karen. She is kind, funny, and easy to talk to. She makes it easy to have a relaxed conversation. She is supportive of the different kinds of presentations I have given, and offers corrections in a unobtrusive way. I have learned a lot about Colombia, both in terms of the culture and the language. We have become friends and we both feel comfortable talking about our personal lives. An important part of language learning is growing accustomed to the pace and style of conversations with a native speaker. I recommend that you try this with Karen!

Classes with Karen are a delight. Her questions are thought-provoking, and her teaching style is supportive and creative. We cover a wide range of topics. Today we talked about fashion designs, starting a new company, her impressions of Bogotá and the approaching presidential elections in the US. I would encourage others to study with Karen. I am so grateful to have her as my Spanish teacher.
