Hi ther! My name is Laura and I am a native Romanian speaker currently living in France. My mother tongue is Romanian, but I also speak French and English fluently and I have a beginner level in Spanish. 4 facts about me: 1/I was educated in english at a bilingual high school and continued to work in the market research industry in English and French for 6 years. 2/In 2013 I had a 3 months “Work&Travel” experience in Ohio. I worked for one of the biggest amusement parks in the world, Cedar Point. 3/For the last 4 years I have worked and studied in France. 4/At the moment I take pleasure in my passion for cooking and I manage a food blog where I share recipes I try and food photos I take.

I am an open-minded, supportive and patient teacher and I love helping my students learn. Being myself a former student here in France, I learned that no matter how hard you try, in the end, the most effective method to master a language will be to find a native with whom you can exchange in a relaxed context. Some reading at home and a little bit of writing won’t hurt as well :), nonetheless this is why I am here, to help you see this journey as something fun and not as a drudge.

My lessons and teaching style will be adapted according to your level but also to your goals, learning style and personality. For the Beginners, we can start from scratch (the alphabet, specific sounds, phonetics, grammar, vocabulary etc.), no need to worry. For Intermediate level, we can ALSO practice your speaking skills, discuss about your passions, your hobbies & interests or any other subject that you'd like to discover about Romania or France. If you have a more scholarly approach, I could provide you with texts to read at home and translate them, transcribe videos / podcasts or recommend Romanian bloggers / vloggers or movies to read/watch according to your passions.
