2019年10月10日起成为italki教师

I am Greg Jones, a native English speaker from England. I come from an old market town called Warwick right in the centre of England which is particularly famous for its medieval castle. I enjoy various pastimes such as playing classical and electric guitars, reading and writing and am currently attempting to write a fantasy work. I have had numerous articles published in a variety of magazines both in the UK and USA. I also like to travel and have travelled extensively around Europe and Southeast Asia.

I like to have a relaxed and friendly approach while still applying just the right amount of pressure so that you see progress.

I like to use a blend of techniques such as the communicative approach, task-based learning, and positive reinforcement. I like to get to know what my students' interests are so we can use these as a focus during the lesson so that subjects that are of real interest can be employed for language learning.

Interesting talk as usual. Greg gave me a possibility to be a speaker for some minutes. Really lessons bring speaking skills up.

I liked it overall, but didn't have any chance to write down vocabulary/sentences to revise it later. Also, I've never read articles during a lesson as thought it can be done outside a class. Good way to improve passive reading, but not active writing or speaking. Would be great to have some homework to memorize new words better or additional material for flipped classroom and use shared google document.
