I'm a native speaker of Italian and a language teacher with over 13 years of experience. Learning languages and teaching has always been my huge passion. I think enthusiasm and motivation along with competence and determination are the key factors to achieve our goals and to have fun at the same time. I have experience in universities, language academies, school groups of all ages, cultural centres and one-to-one tuitions. I have been living and working in the Republic of Ireland and Northern Ireland so I am used to a multicultural learning environment.

BA degree in Humanities (110/110 cum laude) 2007 MA degree in Linguistics (110/110) 2010 2007-2008 Language Teacher in the Republic of Ireland 2011-2012 Language Tutor for GCSE level at Belfast Metropolitan College (NI) 2011-up to present Language Tutor at Queen's University of Belfast and the Crescent Arts Centre 2019-up to present Italian Language and Culture at Newtownabbey Borough Council, NI I am also working as a private tutor and I have been offering 1 to 1 classes for over 13 years both in person and online. I have worked with all sorts of age groups from children to adults, catering for their needs (from opera singers to holiday makers and everything else in between!)

Here is what you can expect: in the trial lesson I will assess your level, strengths and weaknesses and we will discuss your interests and your goals as well as your motivation and the time you are willing/able to dedicate to your new language-learning adventure. I will keep monitoring your improvements over time. A feedback after each class will be provided. I believe in the efficacy of a comfortable, encouraging and relaxed atmosphere between the teacher and the learner. I'll provide the support you need and I'll share with you selected materials and tailor-made lessons. We'll work together in each session to develop multiple skills: reading, writing, speaking and listening.
