May be it's just me but being a beginner the conversation wasn't really engaging. I had to try to come up with the topic to discuss otherwise things were just gone quiet and awkward.

This was my first lesson with Takanashi sensei. He was nice and understanding. He tried to explain any vocabulary or phrases I did not understand. We were able to have a decent conversation during the lesson.

Shiori was a good partner to have. We talked about several topics and it was very good speaking practice for me. I recommend Shiori to those who want to practice their speaking ability and lead the conversation.

Shiori did his best to explain in Japanese to me some very detailed grammar explanations. He respected my desire to achieve a much higher level of Japanese by not resorting to too much English. My goals are to surpass C2 level or JLPT N2, speaking wise (not so much in Kanji).
