I understand the difficulties of learning a new language, as I am trying to learn Spanish and German at the moment.,I was born in South West England, but when I was younger I moved to lots of different areas, so my accent is quite neutral. In 2011, I gained a UK-TEFL certificate, and began teaching foreign students immediately. My first TEFL job was teaching school students during their summer holidays in Plymouth. I taught many groups, from France and the Czech Republic, and the aim was to make the lessons as fun as possible to ensure they would leave with a new found love and respect for English. In September 2013, I started working in a school near Barcelona through a program called Home to Home. I lived with a host family, and spent my days working in English classes, providing help 1 to 1 and in small groups through conversation. I also worked in the classroom sometimes, leading the class in listening and speaking exercises and providing any assistance the main English teacher needed. On top of my work at the school, I had a few private classes to subsidise my income, where I worked one to one with students of varying ages and levels, and we mostly engaged in conversation practice.
