I´m a Spanish teacher specialize in advance speakers. I´m certificated as Spanish teacher by the Cervantes Institute and as Official Examiner of the level C1- C2 DELE Exam´s. I have a particular style as I teach Spanish through newspapers, literature, ted talks and other original resources. I also specialize in a specific way of teaching grammar: cognitive grammar. With that course, I teach you to think like a native speaker. I just work with 10 students each time (maximum of 5 class per day) so I ensure that I have the energy needed to fulfil its expectations.

I have taught on Italki for more than a year and I love it. I started this as a hobby and now I'm studying Spanish Teaching as a Foreign Language at UNAM to become a professional teacher. My objective is to be a guide to my students, since we all learn in different ways I try to adapt to my students learning styles and provide materials, corrections and suggestions to communicate more naturally. I am a very patience teacher so you are never going to feel embarrast or bad in my lessons, I try to create a perfect environment to learn Spanish, one that makes you feel protected and encourage you to speak Spanish . I work as a primary teacher in Spain so I have a lot of experience with kids and beginners in a new language. I know a lot about my subject I am always studying and trying to improve my teacher knowledge and skills. I have different approaches to teach you Spanish, focusing on grammar, communication, helping you with the DELE exam, or even learning some specific Spanish for small purpuses like traveling, businness, or introduce yourself in Spanish.

My background in linguistics, particularly phonetics, allows me to specialise in pronunciation, and the many languages I speak will allow me to understand why you make certain mistakes, and so it will be easier for me to help you correct them. I also have experience in speech therapy, as my younger brother is deaf and verbally dyspraxic, and this helps tremendously with teaching pronunciation. I believe these abilities put me in an excellent position to help you sound like a native speaker. My style is relaxed but attentive, and I aim to get you speaking as much as possible. You do not need to prepare anything for the lessons (unless you want to), I will always have questions for you!
