Aprendí que me encanta enseñar porque en casa tenemos un Airbnb y comencé dando tours de lugares típicos de la Ciudad de México. Después me di cuenta que calificaba perfectamente para ser profesora de español por mi formación académica.

Since I was little I have always wanted to be a teacher so for me teaching is very vocational and I love my job. I have so much fun with my students that going to work is a pleasure for me. When I was a teenager, I spent many Sundays afternoons teaching my little cousins at my grandmother´s house and after that I started tutoring one of my cousins at his house. Once I finished my Teaching Degree four years ago, I moved to Utah to teach Spanish in a Dual Immersion school. I was supposed to stay only a year but I decided to stay two. After two years teaching Spanish in the US, I moved to Sydney to keep travelling and teaching Spanish as well and then to London.

Me apasionan los idiomas y por eso estudié Lenguas Modernas para poder enseñar español y además traducir. Espero ser de gran ayuda para ti y que puedas aprender español y/o mejorar tu nivel. Since I was a child I was very interested in languages. I started philology studies but life took me along a different path, until I was 23 years old and I came across International House Bogotá, where I found that this is what I want to be. I really enjoy meeting new people. Listening to their stories and history and learning from their experience. Desde niña sentí gran interés por la lengua. Comencé estudios de filología pero cosas de la vida cambiaron mi rumbo. Cuando tenía 23 años encontré International House Bogotá y mi interés reapareció. Me encanta conocer gente, escuchar sus historias y aprender de sus experiencias. Me interesa entender mi sociedad y la de los demás.

I have taught English for 6 years. I love going deep into grammar, vocabulary, and the exceptions in the language. I also enjoy helping students with test preparation. I even do the exercises while I have coffee! I like to teach functional language based on the student's needs. I started my career teaching children, but now I only teach adults. That's because my classes are more fun when I can discuss my student's grammar problems on a higher level. I was lucky to have excellent teachers who inspired me in my career. Like Mr. Ramos, whose passion and enthusiasm made the lessons enjoyable and fun. He always explained things with a smile, and I aim to be that kind of teacher every day.

I believe in the power of practice and study. I find that putting in the time and effort pays off eventually. I therefore think a combination of drills and conversation is the best way to learn a new language. soy un creyente en el valor de la practica y el estudio. he descubierto que no hay substituto a poner el esfuerzo y el tiempo necesario. Por lo tanto pienso que la mejor manera de aprender un idioma es el uso de ejercicios junto con conversación.

Como ingeniera tengo un diplomado en educación, y siento una gran motivación a la hora de enseñar. Creo que el proceso de enseñanza/ aprendizaje, es muy enriquecedor para ambas partes. Tengo mucha paciencia y mi experiencia con público de todas las edades me ayuda a desarrollar unas clases amenas y divertidas. As an engineer I have a diploma in education, and I feel a great motivation when it comes to teaching. I think the teaching/learning process is very enriching for both parties. I have a lot of patience and my experience with audiences of all ages helps me develop some enjoyable and fun classes.
