My name is Sophia and I'm a Greek native speaker living in Athens. I have a BA in European and Greek Civilization of the Hellenic Open Greek University of Patras. Besides modern Greek I teach and Ancient, reading, grammar and syntax. In my first degree I also took Greek Literature, Ancient History and language. I have been teaching for 20 years and English in Language Schools in my country and lived for four years in Pretoria, South Africa, an English speaking country.

My approach when learning languages is that it needs to be interesting and fun in order to achieve great results. I always like to create a friendly atmosphere in which we can both feel comfortable. Also, practice makes perfect, and we are in this together!

I have been teaching to high school students at a private school in Greece for 3 years and I'm currently teaching Greek online. I'm also certified in teaching English as a foreign language. I have been living abroad for the last 10 years so I know how challenging the process of a new language can be.

I have been teaching Greek as a foreign language for over ten years, and English as a foreign language for the past two years. I have mainly taught 1-to-1 privately but have also taught children, small groups, and classes both here in England and in Hungary shortly after I acquired CELTA. I currently have no professional qualifications in teaching Greek but that will change very soon.

I am a positive person who has an enthusiastic outlook on life. I love my job and I get a great sense of achievement from seeing my students develop and grow as individuals. If I can have a positive impact on their future, I feel I am doing my job well. I am an effective communicator, both in writing and verbally and I have a strong ability to plan and organise effectively; something which is crucial to the role of a competent teacher. I cope very well with pressure and can adapt my style or teaching methods, when needed, to deliver consistent results.

For the past two years, I have been teaching Greek, giving private lessons to both students of Elementary School and adults, in person and online. I love working with people of different ages and diverse backgrounds. I am flexible and creative and strongly believe that learning a new language has to be fun, so I always try to find new ways to keep my students motivated and engaged. Building a strong relationship of trust with them is also a priority to me.

Hello there! My name is Penelope, I'm a language lover and I've been tutoring Modern Greek the last 5 years. I'm patient, friendly and I'm passionate about helping you to make progress with your goals and to build confidence in your skills.

I do not have much experience in teaching, and this is why I would prefer teaching begginer and intermediate students, at least for the first couple of months, until i am accustomed to it. I am really talkative, thus conversation in the languages i teach would be the best thing I could offer to my students, but i am not really limited to that. I like getting to know my students in order for me being able to adapt to their needs and make classes with them even more productive. Their needs will form and alter the way i teach. Being quite easy-going, i would get along really well with most people.

I am very patient and a difficult learner as a person, so do not be afraid to ask as many questions as possible! Not only will we make a great effort to learn a new language, but also this is going to happen in a friendly, calm environment.

I hold a BA on Greek Language and Literature and my MA is on Applied Linguistics, with a specialization on teaching Greek as a second/foreign language. I work for more than 5 years as a private tutor for children and adults. I have work experience in teaching Greek online, as well as in private and public schools.

As a teacher i believe im really communicative and interactive person. Also i feel im contagious so my students not going to have problem to learn a language fast and easy!

Teaching has never been on my list of jobs to do. I would find it exhausting and tedious, especially when kids were involved. Never have I been so wrong! I mainly tutor through conversation using many different materials and resources to help improve your Greek .I believe learning a new language should be a fun experience. I have an informal relaxed style, making our lessons enjoyable. I have learnt English and am now learning spanish so i understand what its like to learn a new language.

I can help you with Greek grammar, which maybe seems a little complicated sometimes and of course to teach you a plenty of useful Greek words in order to be able in a short time to communicate in basic Greek.
