As a tutor I try to adapt to the needs and interests of the students. I want to pick’em up where they’re standing language-wise. Besides being empathetic, patient, creative and flexible on content, I want the lessons to be fun! Especially regarding the preciseness and seriousness that the German language tends to represent, I think humor is a great tool to make it more accessible and easygoing. Another thing that makes learning German more fun, is to focus on topics that are relevant to the student. But having fun doesn't mean that success is secondary. My conversation practices are outcome-oriented according to the goal the student wants to achieve. We'll work on an audible improvement! :)

Two years ago I started teaching on Italki and also gave extra lesson to high school students. From August 2017 until December 2018 I taught German and English in a language school in Ho Chi Minh City. The biggest city in Vietnam and gained a lot of experience in teaching in front of a class. During this time I realized one of the biggest challenges in learning a language. Self-confidence. Also the structure and way of teaching was not always efficient. In order to support the Vietnamese education system and especially the students, together with my Co-Founders we set up our own German language center in Vietnam. Currently we teach all levels and hope to inspire more young students!

I am disciplined and always well prepared for my lessons, I try to make them as real and relevant as possible. I never stop evolving as a teacher, mastering new and better ways to present material and learning within the content area I teach.

I am curious, open-minded, and flexible, meaning that I always try to adapt to my student's needs. I believe that the more fun you have, the better you learn! My main focus is a conversation, however, I am open to go through single grammar topics and adapt my lessons accordingly.

I really love sharing my passion for languages and I enjoy the most seeing how my students progress in their language studies. I speak slowly - as much as it can be a drawback in life, it is an asset in teaching, because this helps the student processing the language easier, at their own pace. I have formal education in all of the languages, so I know and I can help with grammar if you need. My main goal, though, is to help you improve your speaking skills. Having learned multiple languages makes it possible for me to understand the struggles in language learning and to offer clear explanations and concrete tips about different aspects of the language or the learning process itself.

I see myself as a practical learner therefore my preferred approach is to learn by practice! In schools and language courses, languages often get analyzed rather than practiced which is why so many people make no progress after "studying a language" for months. Learning a language is like painting in the sense that you don't need to know the atomic structure of colors to be able to paint a nice picture. In this same way you don't need to know all the rules and technical terms to successfully use a language. In my lessons you will actively practice speaking German without worrying to much about the mistakes which will ultimately make it more fun and enjoyable for you.

Currently, I'm giving private lessons in English and Italian. Since 2018 I am teaching Italian (A1-A2) at an adult learning centre (Volkshochschule). Due to the Covid-19 pandemic, I switched from classroom to online lessons in March 2020. Since June 2020 I am giving an online lesson every week in German to a lady living in Düsseldorf.

I want you to get where you want to be with the German language. For this, it would be helpful to know your goals. I will give you my ideas and introduce you to what helped me acquire fluency in 5 languages. However, it is all up to you, and the most important is that you are enjoying the classes.

I am a professional language teacher. I studied German and Croatian at the University of Zagreb. At the moment I work as a teacher in an elementary school. I teach students who are from 6 to 14 years old. But I also teach teenagers and adults from basic to advanced levels. I've worked in several foreign language school. I studied Germanistic at the university in Kiev. Since 2010 I teach German and English and since 2016 Russian online. Some years ago I gained the experience teaching in private for max. 12 students. Lately I mostly give individual and also group lessons for max. 3 students online. I consider this way of teaching also efficient and meaningful.
