In my class I want to create a friendly and positive environment. You don't have to be afraid to make mistakes. I'm always open to meet new people from all over the world.

I have taught English in Vietnam and Thailand, and I have been tutoring German since one year on Italki. I focus on speaking skills over perfect grammar. In my opinion it's more important to use correct vocabulary, learn useful words, and use correct pronunciation than having perfect grammar.

I started teaching the people I have met during my travels and it has been very rewarding to see them making progress and achieving their goals. That is exactly the reason why I decided to become an online teacher.

I will engage my young students with child appropriate fun game/songs/stories & short videos ( w/subtitles). I may also speak entirely in German. My goals are for the children to become excited about their lesson and enjoy their time without even noticing that they are studying and learning a foreign language! I am customizing the lesson to my student's needs, desires, goals & available timetable. The curriculum will be totally tailored to ensure the most successful outcome and will be adjusted according to the student's accomplishments and abilities. I will gently guide/assist & patiently correct. So, let’s start with this exciting & fun adventure into a new language and culture!!

When I was a student, I was tutoring a lot of adults and children. In 2017 I passed my state exam for being a French and Spanish teacher at high school. Currently I’m working as a language teacher at a secondary school but I also worked as a language teacher for adults.

I like to build long-term relations with my students (some students stay with me for years, which I consider to be the best proof of their satisfaction). However, I also prepare for language exams (which is usually unfortunately shorter cooperation yet also a fruitful one). I also teach kids (I have the most experience with 10+).

I worked at school and I'm teaching privately. My method is to do a lot of communication so that the language gets easy to use. The grammatical exercises are also very important, so I try to build the lessons that these difficulties are easily surpassed. Usually I prepare different exercises. The lessons should be entertaining and fun, so the way to the result is more effective.

In September 2020 I started working as a science teacher at an international school, teaching children from the age of 8 to 12. After completing a 120 hour TEFL course, I also started working as a private English tutor for 5 to 12-year-old children. Since I started working as a teacher I realized how much I enjoy teaching and seeing my students make progress. So I decided to start teaching the language that I feel most comfortable with - German.

I discovered my passion for teaching not by teaching languages but by teaching new concepts. Working as a Scuba Diving Instructor put me in the position of having to teach more complex ideas to students often unfamiliar with them. From there, I became inspired to teach in a more traditional classroom setting. After completing a 120-hour TEFL course, I gained some classroom experience teaching English in a primary school. During this time, I learned a lot about how to engage with students and react to their individual needs.

You will quickly notice how much I love my job: I smile a lot! As a teacher for Elementary, Secondary and adult students, I am always ensuring a friendly, supporting learning atmosphere. My teaching super power is preparing students for language tests in a smooth and effective way, because my teaching style follows a very focused and intentional approach. I help my students to find their learning type and to develop strategies to reach their individual goal. As I have worked and lived in German-, French-, and English-speaking countries for longer periods of time, I am linguistically flexible and highly skilled. I love to communicate and building a relationship of trust with my students.

I also have been teaching german and spanish for more than 5 years. That´s why, I know quite well, what the best strategy is, if you want to learn a new language in a fast and easy way. Although I have a career in biology, I really love teaching languages and I have to say that, it´s something that has taught me a lot in return.

First I was a classroom teacher in a private training center, but later I found that teaching one-on-one is both, more efficient for students and also more interesting as a teacher. In a one-on-one lesson I can totally adapt to your language level and teach you the language that is important for you and the speed that you choose. In case you want to change you learning method you can tell me at any point, and we can try a different approach.

I want you to improve your german! From my experience the best way to learn a language is to speak regularly! I want to help you to stop your anxiety and building up a confidence level to finally have fun while you are learning a new language and not to be afraid to try! I've been tutoring for over 7 years now ever since I was a high school student myself. First, I was doing private tutoring in English, German, French, Maths and Sciences. Then, after finishing my BA in English and American Studies and Business Studies in 2017 and completing my CELTA, I moved to Brighton (England) for one year to work as an English teacher at a language school. I hold a German as a Foreign language teaching certificate from the Goethe Institute and was teaching healthcare professionals at the Goethe Institute in Hanoi. My students appreciated my positive and friendly attitude that always kept them motivated. Formerly, I worked as the editor-in-chief of a customer magazine for a German medical engineering company. With this knowledge, I teach German courses for healthcare professionals such as nurses, caregivers, and doctors.
