I've been giving Math, Geography and English lessons during high school. So I am familiar with different types of students and teaching styles. I learned German myself just by using italki and have met several teachers, both professional and community tutors, and not just with native speakers, but also with non-natives. So I combine all the methods I've seen and put my own ones on the top in my lessons. I believe that the teacher is the person who motivates you and provides you with materials. That's what I try to do in lessons. Everyone has their own learning style. I am ready to shape our lessons according to your needs, interests and learning habits.

I started teaching the people I have met during my travels and it has been very rewarding to see them making progress and achieving their goals. That is exactly the reason why I decided to become an online teacher.

Seit meiner ersten Unterrichtserfahrung vor nunmehr 10 Jahren weiß ich, dass ich Deutsch unterrichten will. Mittlerweile habe ich Erfahrung in Deutschland, Italien, Österreich, Spanien und Großbritannien gesammelt und mit den unterschiedlichsten Zielgruppen gearbeitet. Zu meinen Schülerinnen und Schülern gehörten Kinder, Jugendliche, Studenten und Erwachsene auf allen Niveaustufen. Ich sehe mich nicht nur als Sprachlehrende, sondern auch als Vermittlerin landeskundlicher Aspekte und als zertifizierte Goethe- Telc- und TestDaF-Prüferin und -Bewerterin gehört auch Prüfungsvorbereitung zu meinem Repertoire.

As your teacher I am like your friend who helps you with your language acquisition wherever you need support. You can talk to me about your individual problems with learning German and we will work on it together. I am not just passionate but also patient and do understand the struggles that can come with learning a foreign language. As a teacher I would love to help you improve in your conversational skills and as I am fairly young I am also very familiar with slang and youth culture, in case you wish to learn natural German. I am an open minded and patient teacher. Communication and the active use of new vocabulary is one of the most important factors when acquiring a new language. This is the reason I focus on speaking during my lessons. Materials like books, audio, grammar worksheets and themed vocabulary lists will accompany us during our lessons and make the learning process easier and more fun. I believe in positive encouragement rather than harsh and strict learning methods! Language is a beautiful tool to speak to different people all over the world. Therefore it should be fun. If you enjoy doing something it is most likely that you will stick to the habit of practicing it. I just experienced it myself. When I learned Japanese I had a very kind teacher and thanks to his funny and encouraging teaching I fell in love with the language. Now, a few years later, I am fluent.

Ich unterrichte seit ca. 2018 als Hobby Deutsch. Meine Schüler haben sehr unterschiedliche Gründe, warum sie Deutsch sprechen möchten und daher ist auch mein Unterricht sehr flexibel.

Fortunately, in these last four years, I had the opportunity to give private lessons to children and teenagers of different ages and of different levels several times. I taught English, Spanish and German. I am often described as a very patient and organized person. What I like the most about teaching is to see the processes that the student goes through day after day, and above all how he/she gains confidence day by day. Since I had studied Philology I also have many bibliographic references, both in literary books and also in grammar. Another thing I like a lot is the reciprocal process of teaching and learning.

I am a very calm person which enables me to fully point my attention towards the student. I strive to cater my student with topics according to their levels. Never too easy, but just right to make my students sweat a little. I know how to motivate students in the right moments, in order for them to have fun while learning and having a guaranteed stamina. As I choose to offer conversational German, we would talk about a chosen subject and I would correct your accent, grammar and tell you what vocabulary would be most common, so our common goal would be to get you to a level where you feel "at home" in the German language.
