I like teaching my language with smile *passion* professionalism* positivity *relax! I do always prepare structured LESSONS based on speaking, listening, writing and reading. Thanks to my natural attitude I pass my joy when learning! I strongly believe that to learn a language all you need is : - willingness -enthusiasm I... will do the rest! I started teaching on italki in 2016 as a community tutor and I liked it so much I decided to study and get a certification to be able to teach more: I now offer professional lessons as well as informal tutoring and conversation practice. As a student of languages myself, I know that speaking the target language since the start is the way to progress faster. I also know that a relaxed atmosphere is vital to learn effectively, because our brains work much better when not under pressure... don't panick! If you really don't feel like speaking Italian right away, it's not a big deal: we can use English, French or Norwegian.

I love teaching languages and finding creative ways to pass on my knowledge to students, especially because seeing them improve gives me a huge satisfaction. I am both a language teacher and a language learner, so I am aware of the challenges one faces in learning new languages and of what is needed to overcome them. I believe that developing confidence in one’s ability to speak is just as important as learning new words and grammar, so I strive to make my students feel at ease and overcome the difficulties we all face in language learning! I am very patient, precise, easy-going and friendly. I respect your time and try to make every minute count in my lessons.

The key of my teaching style is «Learning&Doing – Doing& Learning». When I teach offline, every activity, from the one to one lesson to the workshop, from the board game to the Apulian tour, is based on missions to accomplish. Students learn Italian with Karaoke, role plays (would you like to be Pavarotti for few hours?), Italian recipes, cappuccinos to ask in a cafè, treasure-huntings around the city. When I teach online I try to add fun to my lessons: role-plays, quizzes, customized conversations and songs are my trump cards. Smiling is the main ingredient for effective learning. This is the (not so secret) recipe of my lessons!

I've experience in teaching both English and Italian. I've taught children, teenagers and adults in person for a couple of years in both private and public schools. From 2015 I only teach online. I've taught Italian successfully to people of different nationalities Spanish, English, French, German, Japanese and I know quite well the difficulties you might face when learning Italian, so I'm here to help you overcome them.

My classes are learner-centered and my role is that of a facilitator and guide during your language learning process. I use an inductive approach, so the classes will be more engaging and it will help you develop all the main skills. I love what I do, so I will always start our classes with a smile on my face!

After graduating in Literature, I perfected my diction by taking part in film dubbing courses, so I can guarantee clear pronunciation without any specific accent. Over the years, I have participated in several linguistic and intercultural exchanges, during which I became passionate about studying and teaching languages. I believe that a conversation with a native speaker is the most effective way to start appreciating a language, understanding its constructs and enriching vocabulary, coming only later to the study of the grammar.

Sono un'insegnante paziente e cerco di mettermi nei panni degli studenti, mi piace lasciare loro spazio di espressione e per me l'insegnamento è comunicazione bidirezionale. I'm patient and I try to put myself in the shoes of my students, I let them express themselves. My idea of teaching is mutual communication.

Tra pochi mesi farò l'esame di maturità, sto studiando scienze umane ma a settembre inizierà il mio percorso universitario in Inghilterra. Studierò Business Management e se tutto andrà secondo i piani farò il master a Parigi. Sono una ragazza molto solare e coinvolgente, soprattutto sono disponibile e paziente e per questo ci troveremo benissimo durante le lezioni.

Il mio percorso come insegnante di italiano inizia nel 2007, dopo la Laurea in Scienze Politiche e un Master in Cooperazione Internazionale e Immigrazione a Firenze: mi sono trovata a insegnare italiano a immigrati e l'esperienza mi ha cosi coinvolto che ho deciso di studiare per diventare un'insegnante certificata di italiano per stranieri. Così è stato e nel 2008 ho subito iniziato a lavorare in una scuola italiana a Buenos Aires e nel 2012 nella scuola Dante Alighieri di Quito. Attualmente lavoro come insegnante d'italiano freelance in alcune aziende italiane. Un'esperienza variegata insomma, che mi ha arricchito tantissimo e che voglio continuare a condividere con tutti i miei studenti!

I have taught Italian and Latin in public schools in Italy for about ten years. Currently I teach mainly Italian for foreigners, in particular for foreign managers who need professional/business Italian courses for their companies' activity. I can also offer specialized Italian courses for doctors and lawyers. I still remember my first Italian lesson: it was amazing, because I immediately understood that I loved what I was doing, and time passed in a blink of an eye! I always do my best for every student and when I see that my students, lesson after lesson, become able to speak their target language and that they follow the courses with pleasure, it makes me love this work more and more.

I tend to be demanding with my students, but laid-back at the same time. I want my students to make the best, pressuring the students so as they can achieve their goals. I am also very accommodating, adapting my way of teaching and the language of instruction (Italian, English or Spanish) according to the preferences of the student. I am quite honest. This means that I might sound a bit direct sometimes, but when I tell you "your Italian has really improved! You could even have a job interview now!", well, I really mean it. So you best believe it!

Sono un'insegnante attenta ai bisogni dei miei studenti, alle loro passioni e aspirazioni. Mi concentro sul loro metodo di apprendimento affinché procediamo di pari passo. Sono ripetitiva, amo la ridondanza affinché i concetti chiave siano ben compresi e assimilati. Con studenti più avanzati utilizzo un metodo induttivo di insegnamento affinché siano loro a riflettere sulla lingua. Il momento più importante per me è quello dei feedback dove posso confrontarmi con le conoscenze che gli studenti hanno realmente appreso e prendere atto di ciò che non hanno capito.

I believe that every student is unique, each with their own history, objectives, tastes and dreams. As such, I aim to tailor and personalise the lessons I deliver as much as possible, starting off by getting to know the student through a dialogue before commencing on the language-learning journey together.

Sono un insegnante molto affabile e cordiale. Cerco sempre di mettere a proprio agio lo studente, impostando la conversazione e le lezioni su argomenti che possano stimolarne l'interesse e la concentrazione. Ciò che mi spinge invece ad insegnare è il desiderio di stare a contatto con culture diverse dalla mia.

First of all, I would say that I am very "kind" and flexible. I always try to adapt myself on my students' needs, and I think that it is very important to ask and know about my students' interests, hobbies, things they find very difficult when it comes to speaking and studying a new language and so on. I really care about my students and about their progress in learning. I am open to any kind of feedback and any kind of requests in order to make our lessons "better". For example, we could also try to learn a new language with songs!
