I really love sharing my passion for languages and I enjoy the most seeing how my students progress in their language studies. I speak slowly - as much as it can be a drawback in life, it is an asset in teaching, because this helps the student processing the language easier, at their own pace. I have formal education in all of the languages, so I know and I can help with grammar if you need. My main goal, though, is to help you improve your speaking skills. Having learned multiple languages makes it possible for me to understand the struggles in language learning and to offer clear explanations and concrete tips about different aspects of the language or the learning process itself.

I see myself as a practical learner therefore my preferred approach is to learn by practice! In schools and language courses, languages often get analyzed rather than practiced which is why so many people make no progress after "studying a language" for months. Learning a language is like painting in the sense that you don't need to know the atomic structure of colors to be able to paint a nice picture. In this same way you don't need to know all the rules and technical terms to successfully use a language. In my lessons you will actively practice speaking German without worrying to much about the mistakes which will ultimately make it more fun and enjoyable for you.

I am a university trained teacher (secondary school, 1st and 2nd German state exam) and I have taught in Primary as well as in Secondary School settings. All in all, I studied 5 years and in addition I completed 2 years of teaching practice in order to be an acknowledged teacher in Germany. I taught German to French students in France and I have worked as a Secondary School teacher for French in Germany. I taught all levels, from total beginners to proficient learners. Furthermore, I am a registered teacher in Australia. I specialized in teaching intermediate and advanced learners.

ich bin eine geduldige Lehrerin und lasse dem Schüler Zeit in aller Ruhe die Sätze zu konstruieren. Das grösste Problem ist, finde ich, dass Leute sich unter Druck gefühlt setzen eine Sprache in kurzer Zeit beherrschen zu müssen und schnell in selbiger Sprache antworten zu müssen. Wenn man sich weniger unter Druck gesetzt fühlt, kann man sich auch besser ausdrücken.

After studying German as ,,a foreign language " at LMU Munich, I emigrated to Colombia (Bogotá), where I taught German for 4 years at the Goethe Institute.
