I've been teaching for 2 years in a high school in the morning and some language schools in the afternoon. I also gave some private classes to students that needed to improve their school marks or were preparing for the Cambridge First Certificate. Due to the fact I love studying languages myself, I feel I have the tools to understand how different people learn, and that learning should be interesting and fun. It is for this reason that I welcome suggestions and requests from students to enable me to adapt every single class towards what the student wants.

I believe that a teacher is one of the most important factors that contribute to student achievement. Being in the first years of my career in education, my priority is to understand students and become as much flexible as possible to have better communication with them. I am a pretty good listener and a very curious person. These qualities and an online course on Social psychology have helped me to observe and pick up on different personality traits and interests of students to help them approach the subject in a more enjoyable way. Me as a teacher is not very different from me as a student. I have the same eagerness to learn something new every day and my students never fail to amaze me.

The main areas of teaching English as a foreign language that I have specialized in are General English, Business English, English for Academic Purposes, Critical Thinking and IELTS exam Preparation. Over the last several years, I have taught on numerous pre-sessional courses for students preparing to take a BA or MA degree in UK or Australian based universities. Over my teaching career, I have instructed students of various ages, nationalities and backgrounds and I have a lot of experience teaching learners on a one-to-one basis. In terms of credentials, I have gained a BA in Music, an MA in Education, and the English Language teaching qualifications of CELTA and DELTA.

I am a certified TEFL teacher and have a bachelor's degree in language studies. I have taught many different age groups ranging from small children all the way up to adults. I have years of teaching experience and I have taught English as a second language for about 3 years.

I am TEFL and IELTS qualified as of last year. I had the fantastic opportunity to teach in Buenos Aires, Argentina for 4 weeks. Since January 2019, I have been helping people with their English speaking skills. As a teacher, I am fun, reliable, respectful and creative. I totally understand how hard it is to learn a new language and sometimes things don't quite 'click and fall into place'. That's perfectly fine, it's part of the process. I have taught people of all ages and abilities and love to see people improve their skills, abilities and most importantly their confidence. I also maximise and encourage speaking as much as possible, as I feel its the best way to learn a new langauge.

I teach students from all over the world, and we talk about every topic imaginable. I love to teach casual conversation, to help my students sound more like native speakers. I also teach "business English," which helps students sound more professional at work. I am a very patient teacher. Many of my students are complete beginners, and I work slowly and focus on the basics. My accent is completely neutral, and very easy to understand! My lessons are always fun! It doesn't matter what the topic is, or the student's level of English. We always have a great time in class, because being relaxed and having fun is a great way to improve speaking skills.

I started tutoring adults when I was traveling Australia. I met so many travelers that weren't native English speakers that it became a common thing for me to explain things about the language to people. After talking to more and more people I decided to look into becoming a teacher and then I did a TEFL course. I moved to Thailand and got a job in a primary school teaching children aged 6-12 years old. I try to speak as clearly as possible. I match the level of the lesson to my student's level of English. I am a patient and friendly teacher and I am happy to help you improve your English skills. I enjoy learning about different cultures without leaving my home.

I have been an online English teacher since 2014, and I wish to develop my student's confidence in speaking the language. Currently, I am taking a teaching course to be a professional English teacher.

I am very flexible as a teacher. I have given lessons in which we have just had a conversation, which is always great, but I have also given many lessons in which I help students with high level academic writing, such as Masters university essays and business reports. How your lessons are structured is up to you! I have had some students studying for IELTS and have helped them to overcome some difficulties and their own nervousness, particularly with speaking and writing. I have enabled them to practise talking about the sorts of topics that you'll be asked about in IELTS, and received positive feedback from my students, including one who scored a 7 in IELTS in 2018.

I enjoy reflecting upon language, and I encourage my students to do so, not only to learn Spanish, but also to discover things about their own native language. As a teacher, I consider myself creative and practical, I can come up with activities and exercises on the spot to make my lessons more dynamic and fun, and I try to keep things simple and clear when a student is having a hard time with a topic that is difficult to understand. I know some topics can be harder than others, and not all students learn at the same pace, which is why I'm also very patient and respectful of my students' learning needs.

I have fifteen years of teaching experience in a wide range of contexts. I've taught ESL in Japan, Australia, and at home in Canada. I recently decided to return to my first passion, teaching, and obtained my TEFL certification from the Ontario Institute for Studies in Education at U of T.
