I have been teaching students English for two years. I have a TEFL qualification in English. I like helping students practice for the IELTS speaking exam. Experience helping students from all over the world including Russia, China, Korea, Spain, Germany, France, Jordan and Japan.

My classes are best suited for intermediate or advanced English learners. I think that conversation is the most important part of learning a new language.

As a teacher, my main focus will be teaching day-to-day English. I can also teach slang and explain the different phrases used by different English speakers. What may be polite in one country may be considered rude in another! I studied creative writing at university so I have a good grasp of the English language and a wide vocabulary. I also have a TEFL certificate (150 hours). Over the last few years I have casually tutored young adults (18-30) in English and I have also tutored teenagers in mathematics.

I like to build long-term relations with my students (some students stay with me for years, which I consider to be the best proof of their satisfaction). However, I also prepare for language exams (which is usually unfortunately shorter cooperation yet also a fruitful one). I also teach kids (I have the most experience with 10+).

The demographic of my current and regular students include: Japan, Korea, China, Taiwan, Spain, Russia, Germany, USA, Canada, etc. Most of them are highly educated. As a teacher my primary goal is to make you confident and comfortable speaking in another language. I've taught myself Spanish and I know that's not easy. But confidence is the key to fluency, and I will work with you to make you more confident with each lesson. The best teachers are the ones who listen. I am extremely patient, focused, and I like to make sure my students feel like every lesson is a step forward in their learning.
