I have over 3 years of experience teaching both English and Spanish to non-native speakers. I taught for a year in Japan and 5 months in Costa Rica. I also have lots of online tutoring/teaching experience. I am excited to teach you English and know you will enjoy our time together!

I have been teaching many students for three years, so I have already some experience in teaching. I am a very patient teacher. It is no problem for me to repeat things, which my student did not understand. I have 5+ years of English teaching experience for​ all ages. I love helping others reach their goals with English proficiency and having fun along the way! I have been teaching English to students of all ages since 2013. I began tutoring college students in ESL at my Korean University. Then I became a full-time kindergarten and elementary school teacher instructing 4- 13 year old in English proficiency, pronunciation, grammar, and writing. During this time I also tutored adults part-time working with them on vocabulary, conversation, public speaking, and proofreading.

I'm very patient, and easy to talk to. There's no need to be nervous because I know what it's like struggle to speak another language. Making mistakes is part of the learning process, so just get comfortable and let the words flow.

I specialise in Advanced business communication, including pronunciation, phonetics and language structure. I have designed, prepared and delivered workshops for both major businesses and private clients, covering negotiation and communication skills, Legal, Administration and Medical courses and helped many clients prepare for interviews, conferences, presentations and seminars. In each class there will be a lot of speaking practice and we will focus on the language that you need. I use the communication style of teaching English so I will correct your grammar and pronunciation as you talk.

I am fully qualified to teach English as a second language, and my qualifications include specialisation in teaching students online as well as teaching Business English. I am currently studying for my DELTA qualification. I've been teaching English for 2 years now, and editing and proofreading English copy and text for many more years. 7 years ago I didn't want to be a teacher, my dad was already the 4th generation of teachers in my family and it seemed too boring! Then I did the CELTA course in Chiang-Mai and was hooked. As previously stated I am learning Spanish and never dreamed it would be so challenging to learn a second language. I made many mistakes at first in my studies. But over time I discovered there is a wrong way and a right way to master a second language. I took a TESOL course here in Guadalajara and taught in a private school. So now I can call myself an experienced trained teacher, that is very patient and understanding.

As a teacher, I like to think of myself as patient and flexible. I have taught in many very different settings. The type of students in these settings varied greatly. All needed varying teaching methods in order to succeed. Flexibility was a necessary skill to be a good teacher during those times. The same thought applies to the present day. I earned my TEFL certificate in 2015, and I've been teaching at a private language school in Florence ever since. I have taught students or all levels from a wide variety of backgrounds. I also have a lot of experience in test preparation--my specialties are the TOEFL and the SAT, but I also have experience with iELTS, TOEIC, Cambridge exams, ACT, GMAT, and GRE.

I absolutely LOVE teaching and connecting with students. I am very relaxed and easy to connect with so hopefully you are never too nervous in my class. Sharing information with you and helping you become the best version of yourself (and your English) are two of my top strengths and passions. Teaching is my passion, and it's the path that I've decided to take in my life. I've been teaching for almost 5 years, and I don't plan on stopping anytime soon. Introducing people to my language and culture is extremely rewarding for me. I've given classes in some courses in the United States, many big courses here in Rio, and also in many multinational companies. My current focus is teaching privately and online. I've taught all ages from 5 years old to over 80 years old. I've also taught all levels of English from beginner to advanced.
