I've got years of experience on iTalki teaching online. I'm also an interpreter and work well with other languages. I've worked with children and adults, but these days I mostly work with adults. I have experience with Dutch immigration exams.

During my time working as a professional musician, I was a singing teacher / vocal coach as well and helped many of my pupils gain confidence and focusing on joy in addition to technique. I personally think most people can do many things if they put the right mind to it and obtain the right mindset. It takes away barriers which can make learning things seem easy and fun.

I am very easy going, and available after office hours or on the weekends. You can choose what we will chat about, and I will not 'kill' a conversation by correcting you every word. We will chat, and after a while I will see where we can improve your skills here and there. I am very patient, especially since I learned Spanish without classes, simply by talking to my friends, I understand how important it is to not feel pressured while practicing your language. Plus, you always know more then you think!

My first teaching experience (2010) was as a French volunteer in Morocco. 2010 was also the year I started studying at the university of Ghent, Belgium. During my Bachelor's, I went to study at the university of Córdoba, Spain, to improve my Spanish to a C2-level. In July 2015, I obtained my Master in Communication in French, Spanish, Dutch and English and I participated in language camps as a French teacher. In October 2017, I started my travels, began to give private classes, volunteered as an English professor and obtained my TEFL-certificate (2018). In June 2018, I officially became a professional teacher on italki and in January 2021, I obtained my ELE (Español como Lengua Extranjera).

While traveling a lot I meet so many people from all over the world and I always end up teaching them some sentences in Dutch. Since I have worked for over 10 years as a daycare teacher for childeren from 4 to 12 years old, I have a good connection with kids. Teaching them not just a language but any other skill or cultural aspect from the world means a lot to me!

The most important things to know about me as a teacher are that I'm really patient and have a high infectious enthusiasm. For you, this means you won't have to be afraid of making mistakes or think the lessons will be boring. I'll make sure it will be fun! Like the great Bob Ross used to say: We don't make mistakes, we have happy accidents.

I am a people-person, I like to help others. I adapt easily to different types of persons and learning styles. I am very patient, so I don´t mind correcting mistakes, explain simple things, and all that with a smile on my face, because learning should be fun! I'm a very hands-on teacher. Learning languages with me means that we will cover the basic grammar and vocabulary that we need, but quickly switch to have conversations in the language you want to learn. We'll go over why you want to learn the language, and set weekly and monthly goals to achieve it! Learning a language can be a little difficult and dreadful, and that's why I love to combine learning the languages, with subjects and things you like! We'll talk about anything that makes you comfortable and happy to talk about, and won't have boring conversations that you wouldn't have in your own language anyway.

I have learned multiple languages from zero, so I have very good understanding where my students are coming from and struggles they are going through. I aim to make my lessons fun and interactive. I am a very patient and empathetic tutor. I will help you to improve your spoken Dutch.
