From an early age, I came in contact with various cultures during travelling and having multicultural friends. There I noticed how I love to be in contact with others and how much energy I gained with this. Together with exploring each other potential is one of my favourite things to do. I like to work constructively and I believe that conversations in other languages flow naturally when your convo partner makes you feel at ease. Your learning process is central here! Therefore I don't blame you if you would only want one class if there is no connection between us. Our class would be like drinking coffee together ;).

I am open-minded to talk about any subject. What I like the most is exchanging with people from different culture, different languages and different origins. I have already given some face-to-face lessons of English, French and Dutch to some students of my country and helped them pass their exams.

I really enjoy helping others with their struggles to learn another language. I am patient and will correct your mistakes in a proper way. I will be able to help you out while learning Dutch or Spanish and explain you all the ins and outs of the language. I also like to talk and teach about the many different cultures.

As a teacher I am patient, I like to help out others. I can help you with basic Dutch or more advanced. Teach you new words, how to pronounce then and if you want how to write them. A few years ago I helped my thai friend with her basic dutch. She had plans of moving to The Netherlands. I had so much fun helping her starting with the Dutch language. When she was getting close to her integration test, she moved to the city and had some profesdional lessons. She passed and I was very proud of her. I was very happy that I was there and helped starting with her Dutch.

Building a strong foundation for the student to excel in their life journey is my goal. Motivating them and making sure they enjoy developing their language skills is my job. It may sound cheesy, but it’s true nonetheless; seeing the smile on the faces of students is my reward. I've taught English for the past two years in Singapore, China, Myanmar. My focus has always been phonemic awareness and vocabulary building. Hence I'll be able to help you best with pronunciation and literacy skills.

Whether you prefer a rather informal approach or like to learn the standard variant of the Dutch language("standaardnederlands" as we refer to it) ,I can help you out with both! If you insist on learning Flemish as well, I'm keen to immerse you into the beautiful world of colloquial Dutch used in everyday speech. The choose is yours of course. In beginner classes we will focus on learning new vocabulary, pronunciation, common verbs, dialogues, exercises, survival Dutch (public transport, eating out, directions, etc.) and basic conversation skills. For intermediate and advanced students we can focus on topical conversation and writing practice. Perfect to expand active vocabulary, improve accuracy and grammar! I believe that language learning should be an enjoyable and motivating experience, let’s get started :)

Professionally I am an expert on home automation and on that subject have given vocational training courses for almost 3 decades. I have done this in my mother tongue Dutch for most of the time, but have done so in French, English and German as well. Sharing knowledge with my audience is satisfactory for me. Since the pandemic, I have also given online webinars, where I speak to an invisible audience, with minimal feedback. The positive side is that we can use time effectively and continue to share knowledge. As teacher I help you in conversations to gain confidence in talking the Dutch language. Advising on synonyms, how to say differently, all in the right context.

As a teacher with more than 12 years of experience, I focus on making it easy and fun for students to understand the Dutch language. I have been working with students from a different ethnic background and with different levels which is no problem at all. So it's my job to teach without stressing students out if they are not able to keep up. Study at their own pace, having the opportunity to ask as many questions as they like and getting challenged to speak as much as they can, is what i believe, is the best way to learn a language.

My passion to teach comes from wanting to help students reach their study goals as it is rewarding to see students improve in their learning and understanding. As I am learning a new language, I understand the importance of having a teacher who is adaptable in their teaching styles, someone who is calm and patient.

Ik ben geboren in voormalig Joegoslavië maar van af jongs af aan opgeroeid en groot geworden in Nederland Rotterdam. Ik ben eigenlijk tweetalig maar heb me educatie in Nederland gedaan en het grootste gedeelte van mijn sociale leven heb ik voornamelijk met het Nederlandse taal gecommuniceerd. Hierdoor is mijn Nederlands eigenlijk meer mijn moedertaal dan elk ander taal. Ik heb les geven meer in sport en recreatie en daar heb ik geleerd hoe je op verschillende manieren en ook leuke manieren iemand iets kan leren. Hier heb ik een hoop mensenkennis opgebouwd en benader ik ieder persoon als individu om op een leuke manier iets te leren

As a teacher I like to give 110% in every lesson, because it is important to me that my students feel like they advance in their path to fluency with every class. I want them to be proud of their efforts. I tailor the lessons to my student's personality and interests, wich is possible because it is one-on-one. I put quality before quantity. I like to exchange ideas and experiences with my students, because we learn by telling stories, more than any other way.

I am patient, helpful and genuinely interested in other humans beings. I focus on the topics my students find most difficult to grasp and I will create new exercises or look for new online content based on the areas of improvement of my students.
