In addition, I have a certificate from the Hong Kong Chinese University for a course on the teaching of Putonghua (Chinese Mandarin), which I successfully completed in the top fifth percentile of the class.

I understand the struggle of mastering Cantonese in Western society as English is my strongest language. This gives me a unique perspective as a teacher and translator. I’ve provided lesson formats that reflect what has helped me preserve Cantonese in Canada. I have experience teaching music 1-on-1, customizing lesson plans for students, and want to apply these skills to Cantonese education. I believe in establishing good fundamentals, and also flexibility and creativity. Learning is a lifelong journey; mastery of a dialect as dynamic and poetic yet fun and malleable like Cantonese is no exception. Establishing an internal monologue, no matter how simple, is key in learning this language.

While Thai scripts are somehow pictographic (which is the reason why it looks like crazy drawing), they are actually a combination of consonants, vowels and sound marks. I am now a full time language teacher. I have 7 years teaching experience on Cantonese and I have taught Mandarin in Hong Kong's primary In A-level examination, I got B grade in Chinese which was conducted in Cantonese. My major is Mandarin when I studied Postgraduate Diploma in Education Programmes in Hong Kong Institute of Education. Therefore, I can teach both Cantonese and Mandarin.
