HI, My name is Randal and I am a Native English Speaker from the USA and currently live in Buenos Aires Argentina. I have a passion for the arts, music, and culture. I love to cook, enjoy traveling, learning about new places and meeting new people.

I was a late learner with foreign language because I was told it was not something I was capable of, but eventually I stopped listening to everyone else and found that I could indeed learn and it was just a matter of approach and style. I have since helped friends improve their language skills here in Buenos Aires by showing them that language isn't all about grammar and rules, yes thats important, but I found that talking, and using real world examples are key. Once I figured this out I was excited to start sharing this with others.

My classes are very relaxed. I want the student to feel comfortable and able to talk with ease not worry about every little detail of what they are saying or how they sound. I think it is so important to let go of that fear and just speak. Initially I like to get to know my students and find out what areas they are looking to improve. I offer a range of options from just "free talk" to a variety of structured topics and materials. Some of the items I use are daily news articles and short stories to read together, plays and scripts, looking at video shorts together or assigning a series to watch separate and coming back to talk about the themes, words and ideas together.
