I wanted to study idioms to 'boost' my everyday comprehension and just for fun but after just a few weeks I'm realising just how often some of these expressions are used. Learning even a small number of idioms goes a very long way in aiding my comprehension of my coworkers and friends. Really great class with great explanations and Emma sends the PPT right away after each lesson for revision.

This was my first lesson with Emma and I really enjoyed it! Emma prepared lots of idiomatic expressions to study and used examples (including personalised examples that I might come across in my own daily life) to further my understanding. As I live in Korea and speak mostly Korean in my day-to-day life I have found it frustrating when I don't understand many commonly used idioms but after one class I feel like I've already learned quite a few useful ones and look forward to putting them into practice.

Although learning lots of idioms is quite daunting and content-heavy, Emma provides lots of examples and since our first class I’ve started to notice some of the expressions in my day-to-day life. Some of the idioms we have studied have helped me to retrospectively understand past conversations - so I know they’ll be handy in future too! This style of class is definitely hard work but I can already feel it helping take my Korean to the next level.
