I have been teaching English in Korea and the UK for nearly 10 years now.
In Korea, I worked at private language institutions such as Wall Street Institute and Direct English where I taught students of various ages and careers. In the UK, I briefly taught in the summer programme at Bristol Language Centre, but I've mainly worked at the University of Bath where I am currently based. I am now working as an educational researcher, but still occasionally teaching students on academic skills.
I am also a CELTA qualified teacher with a Master’s in TESOL and PhD in Education. Derslerim ve öğretme tarzım
My lessons in italki focus on speaking and communication skills. They aim to improve your speaking confidence and communication strategies for various situations (e.g. workplace, academic and everyday conversation). However, I can also help with your reading and writing if requested.
* Rescheduling & Cancellation: Please note that it is NOT possible to change the lesson start time or cancel the lesson if there is less than 12 hours before the scheduled lesson time.

Jamie was super helpful with learning how I needed to move up from my current Korean level. Her advice was great because I felt stuck. I highly recommend at least trying to work with Jamie because the short trial lesson with her gave me the direction I needed to progress in my language studies and that is more useful than just learning new vocabularies.

Jaime 선생님께 영어 읽기수업을 받았습니다. 선정해주신 Article도 좋았고 난이도도 제가 딱 공부할 수 있는 수준이어서 좋았습니다. 혼자서 읽을 때는 이해가 안되는 부분이 많았는데 선생님과 함께 하니까 쏙쏙 이해가 되고 선생님이 주신 읽기 팁을 가지고 연습을 더 해봐야 할 것같아요!
제가 요약도 그렇고 질문도 그렇고 정말 개떡같이 말했는데도 찰떡같이 알아들으셔서 너무 감사했습니다..(정말 ㅠㅠㅠ)
문장 구조 분석해주신 것도 감사드리고 설명도 정말 감사드립니다~~~!!!
