Hello! I am Shyamala Anand from Chennai, Tamilnadu, India. I did my entire schooling in Coimbatore, in a Tamil-medium school which has helped me with a strong foundation and excellent fluency of one of the most beautiful and classical languages of India. I graduated with a Bachelor's degree in Botany from Sacred Heart "Thevara" college in Cochin. My journey into teaching started in a primary school owned by my father-in-law at Chennai and for over 30 years I also have been conducting tuition classes for all subjects for primary school children. Linguistic abilities apart from Tamil : English - proficient; Konkani - proficient; Malayalam - basic and Hindi - basic .

I am a very passionate teacher. With years of experience tutoring children from age 3 and above, I am very patient and fun - loving. My students find themselves very comfortable with my style of teaching. I was introduced to online teaching platform about 4 years back by a family friend and a well-wisher. From then i am continuing my journey as a Tamil tutor online and also offline.

My teaching methodologies are as per students requirements and understanding and I always believe in assessing my student's knowledge to help myself resort to techniques for better teaching. Language learning being subjective, I do not go by strict guidelines. Apart from academic Tamil for primary school children, I have also been teaching Tamil (conversational and script) for new learners as well as natives who wish to improvise on their Tamil skills.

Her teaching style is very clear and our child is keen to listen to her words. Her primary school teaching experience is clearly demonstrated. She is very patient with our kid and making her think. Our child is keen to attend her next class
