My name is Haemin, I'm 27 years old, and I'm currently working at a global IT company in Korea. I was born in Korea and spent whole my life here. But I've lived in New Zealand for 4 years when I was young and stayed in Atlanta as an exchange student for 1 semester. Like most people, I really love traveling and making friends from all over the world. I try to expose myself to a new environment and share our thoughts. It's so fascinating that we get to feel closer when we talk about something in common regardless of language barrier. During my free time, I watch movies (romance), read books, watch youtube, do some workout (gym, running), meet friends and listen to music (kpop, hiphop).

When I was in university, I helped exchange students to adapt well in Korea. I hung out with them once a week and tried to communicate in Korean as much as possible. I corrected their sentences immediately and taught some fun Korean slangs. Also, I'm currently helping my coworker in Singapore by teaching her business Korean. I review her email and give feedback sentence by sentence. We chat in Korean every day like a friend. So I think I have excellent rapport with people making them speak up more. Since I'm a very passionate person with a huge responsibility, you will not only feel comfortable but also learn a lot from me.

I want to make my class more fun and engaging. I'll try my best to make you feel comfortable to speak more. Don't worry. I'm going to give you feedback in a structured manner. I'll pay attention to what you say and make sure to correct your mistakes. I'll provide 2 types of lessons : 1) Casual Conversation - Bring your own topic! Korean food, Kpop, Kdrama, traveling, social issue or any questions about Korea is fine. 2) Mock Interview - For those who're interested in working at Korea, I can teach you business vocabs/phrases and how to write an email in Korean. Also, I can help you practice your interview in Korean and give you some useful tips :) Very excited to talk with you guys!

She was helpful with my pronunciation, but overall I don't think she is that enthusiastic at teaching.

Emily helped me to prepare to my interview, gave a lot of useful advice not only on Korean vocabulary or pronunciation but also on how to present myself better during the interview :). She is not only a fun and friendly teacher but also patient and always eager to help.
