I am a TEFL certified, native English speaker with a neutral British accent. I am also an International Politics student who loves to travel. I’ve lived abroad for most of my adult life and I love hearing about other cultures. I have other hobbies such as photography, food, current affairs and general academia. I struggled learning Spanish in school so I know how easy it is to feel discouraged. I acknowledge the importance of patience and adaptability in learning environments and I extend this courtesy to all of my students. Living in Mexico taught me how important it is to speak with natives, therefore as a native English speaker, I look forward to bringing this opportunity to you!

My overall goal is to improve your confidence and abilities in your English speaking and listening skills. I am empathetic, charismatic, patient and an excellent listener. I am TEFL certified with over eight months experience tutoring English online. I have also studied Advanced Level English literature which means I have a very deep understanding of the English language and can help with the following: Spelling, grammar and punctuation Practicing for an English speaking exam (including IELTS) Pronunciation assistance General vocabulary Academic vocabulary Formal and colloquial (informal) vocabulary Whatever your goals, I will structure our lessons to help you achieve them!

My lessons are generally informal and centred around conversation practice. Topics can include travel, food, current affairs or anything else. I am completely flexible and would love to adapt the topic, level of structure and level of difficulty based on each student's individual needs and preferences. I use a variety of resources appropriate for English learners at every level, which we can use for discussion in class or for additional entertainment and study. Whether you are a beginner or more advanced English learner, I look forward to helping you develop your English!

Seran is totally cool! I asked her to correct my speech during classes in order to sound more advanced, and I get a lot of recommendations and corrections during our lessons. That’s impressive! She is a lively and outgoing teacher, highly recommend Seran :)
