I am a Spanish tutor with experience in teaching foreigners. I have a bachelor degree in Hispanic Language and Literature from the Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México. I am a poet (I have published two poetry books: Western, 2012 and Ouija, 2020, in Mexico and Spain), writer and editor. I have taught Spanish and poetry workshops to teens and adults for 5 years. I'm an editor for an online newspaper and write SEO articles for digital marketing. In addition to teaching Spanish, poetry, and I like plastic arts, cinema, I like running, I like photography and music. I have two beautiful little daughters.

As a teacher I am very careful in my classes, I prepare them very well. I insist a lot on the points that seem more complicated to me and I never tire of reviewing and returning to the topics necessary to advance in the command of Spanish. I like to joke around and be funny when the moment comes and also be picky when it is needed. I am ready to accompany my students on the path that they chart themselves. I am proud to see how them are mastering such a beautiful language day by day and I try to instill in them the great love I have for the Spanish language. It's about having fun and being passionate about what you do. It's about loving what you do. It's about how you like what you do.

Derslerim ve öğretme tarzım

I seek that the lessons adapt to the objectives of each student. My teaching method focuses on strengthening the four areas of language: reading, writing, listening and conversation, through different tools such as videos, music, books, exercises, and lots of conversation, writing and reading. I focus on grammar, vocabulary, pronunciation, conversation in certain circumstances. My classes have a strong literary base, since I am convinced that it is in literature that a language achieves its best expression. In addition, my classes have a strong cultural base, teaching about cultural aspects of Mexico and Latin America (music, food, cities, sports, etc.).

I am a Native Texan who only speaks English and I'm currently learning beginner Spanish with Raciel. I have studied on my own, but never practiced speaking Spanish due to being afraid of saying something wrong. Raciel is patient as I struggle pronouncing Spanish words with my slow Texas accent. By struggle I mean repeating the same word 3 to 5 times! I've never thought in another language before and Raciel helps me distinguish the differences between Spanish and English. I feel comfortable making mistakes speaking Spanish in our lessons. I can only imagine the situations I would be in by practicing my Spanish out and about. I have built more confidence in speaking Spanish with Raciel than I have doing book work or in any Spanish Class. I am positive in the coming months I will be able to hold casual conversation thanks to Raciel's lessons.

Raciel is a great teacher! I have been working with Raciel regularly for a couple of months now and he continues to impress me with his ability to hone in on areas where I need to grow, and then with patience, kindness, and quality instruction - help me improve in those areas. Extremely patient, kind, and cares about the whole student. Raciel adapts each lesson to the individual needs of the student. After lessons with five other instructors, I found Raciel and will only book with him.
