Hi! I'm Kaho from Yokohama Japan. I just got my master's degree in Applied Linguistics and Second Language Acquisition at University of Barcelona. I have lived in Michigan USA, Victoria Canada, LA USA and Barcelona Spain. I love travelling. I have visited 31 countries so far. こんにちは! 私(わたし)の名前(なまえ)は、かほです。横浜(よこはま)出身(しゅっしん)です。スペインのバルセロナの大学院(だいがくいん)で言語学(げんごがく)を勉強(べんきょう)しました。今まで、アメリカのミシガン州(しゅう)とカリフォルニア州、カナダのブリティッシュコロンビア州に住(す)んだことがあります。旅行(りょこう)が好(す)きで、今(いま)まで31か国(こく)を旅(たび)しました。

I have been teaching on italk for over 2 years. I was a kindergarten teacher at an international school before I move to Spain. I have a teacher permit to teach English to high school students in Japan. italki で2年(ねん)ほど、先生(せんせい)をしています。日本(にほん)で幼稚園(ようちえん)の先生をしていた経験(けいけん)があります。高校(こうこう)の教員免許(きょういんめんきょ)も持(も)っています。

Japanese is a context-dependent language. I am a good English speaker, so I can always explain the details of little nuances in language. We can talk about or work on anything you want! On Italki, I have helped students with their exams, homework, business presentation preparation and so on. I also have a textbook "genki" so we can use it if you wish. For the first class, I will share the PDF of the first part so you can see if you will like it or not. You don't have to know Hiragana/Katakana/Kanji to start! We can start by using Romaji.

Kaho is a wonderful teacher! I’ve already had a couple of lessons with her. She speaks clearly and slowly and introduces new words for me to learn. When I make mistakes she clarifies it and gives me the space to repeat myself! I feel myself improving under her tutelage and would definitely recommend having lessons with her!
