My latest success story: Three months ago, I started teaching an Italian woman, we started with three lessons per week, then gradually slowed it down to two per week. Today we both speak and write in Yoruba. Trust me, we are still on that path to fluency.
I get the question every time: “how long will it take me to speak Yoruba fluently?” Yes, you will, but not in one month. As a beginner, you need a solid starting point. And you don’t need to spend years doing this.
I provide a thorough foundation that will give you a rounded experience making you a creative user of Yoruba in no time even if your commitment is once or twice a week.

My classes thrive on organisation.
Let’s look at it this way: The lessons are tailored in such a way that beyond chatting or writing in class, you own all the vocabularies and relevant expressions you learn in a separate file which grows in parallel with your learning, thus you are looking at a holistic experience of instruction!
This you can fall back to every time, and we can easily use them to form tools for easy memorisation and learning by heart. With this, we solve the problem of “scattered” knowledge which is a major vice against learning.

I’m continuing my Yoruba classes with Gideon and it is a pleasure to work with an experienced teacher who is knowledgeable about both language and culture. Our classes are well structured and proceed at a pace which suits my individual needs something that was discussed and planned during the first class - I am a language teacher myself.
