Hey, my name is Bert! My passion is all about language learning and travelling. Therefore, I opted for a bachelor's degree in Applied Linguistics (English & Spanish) at the university of Antwerp. As of now I'm in my last year. Furthermore, I spend my days honing my language skills, reading self-improvment books and overall enjoying all the beauty life has in store for us, each and every day! Oh and by the way, I love to socialize and enjoy delicious food.

Whether you prefer a rather informal approach or like to learn the standard variant of the Dutch language("standaardnederlands" as we refer to it) ,I can help you out with both! If you insist on learning Flemish as well, I'm keen to immerse you into the beautiful world of colloquial Dutch used in everyday speech. The choose is yours of course. Our key is to have fun through the process!! I hope to see some of you guys in the near future!

Since I've got some informal teaching experiences first-hand, my teaching style will be somewhat of a mixture between different approaches. At the beginning of our first lesson together, we will go over some basic questions and set goals (10 min.) to really determine what it is you want. The approach will be then based on whatever answers you have given me previously. From there, we both embark on our journeys towards success! As Nelson Mandela once said: "If you talk to a man in a language he understands, that goes to his head. If you talk to him in his own language, that goes to his heart.

Lovely! Bert asked me in advance what I would like to cover (for me, daily themes, with mostly free speech) and made sure to prepare a little lesson plan to go over for our first call, he set up a Google document to write down any mistakes I should be careful of in the past. Recommended!
