¡Hola a todos! I'm Belén, professional Spanish/English teacher from Southern Chile, Patagonia. I hold a Bachelor's degree in Language Teaching, and I work as an English teacher in a private school. I really enjoy teaching languages because I get to meet amazing people from different parts of the world, and if I can help them getting new skills, that's even better. I love hearing what learners have to say about their lives, because I learn so much about their cultures and from them as well. I do my best to speak with a comprehensible neutral accent, but if you want me to help you understanding the Chilean accent, I will be happy to help you with that.

I believe that in order to learn a new language we need to PRACTICE, and I'm sure we agree on this: you want to be able to TALK and UNDERSTAND the foreign language you're learning, this is why I use a communicative approach, together with some grammar and practical activities. As a teacher I am pretty flexible with my teaching methodology, as after some lessons completed I can recognize how the student learn better and tailor my teaching style to their personal needs.

1. A regular lesson type: - Free conversation, prior knowledge activation or homework revision (10-15 minutes aprox.) - Instruction & guided practice (35-40 min aprox.) - Closure & independent practice suggested (5 min aprox.) 2. Only free conversation with error correction. How and when the learner get corrections will depend on the learner preference of focusing on fluency or accuracy. This type of lesson is intended for advanced or upper intermediate learners.
