Hello, nice to meet you all! I am Kurumi Uchiyama, from Tokyo. I belong to an international society at my university. So that I often help my foreign friends with their Japanese exams and homework. I used to work as a tutor for children to teach English, Japanese, and Math in Japan. Also, It has been almost 2 years since I started teaching here on Italki! Thus I have many experiences to teach Japanese. I know how to lead you to the answer and make you understood.

Kurumi-sensei is a great, attentive teacher! She was very focused on the lesson and helping me out every time I made a mistake. If you are looking to improve your conversational skills in a fun and productive way, then you should take her lesson!

A fantastic first lesson. We did practice part of Genki Chapter 9. Kurumi was helpful and encouraging and I had a great time learning Japanese with her. I would recommend her to anyone learning Japanese.

Great first lesson with Kurumi. She gave me some excellent suggestions for practicing in between lessons. She also quickly realized my ability (or lack thereof) and adapted the conversation to my level. Thanks, Kurumi!
