Hi! I am a Polish tutor working as a tour guide in multicultural environment. I am a native Polish living in Gdansk. I was studying in University of Gdańsk and have got a MA in Culture Studies and BA in History. On my daily basis I work for a tourism industry so I would love to introduce you not only to Polish language but also to our history, culture, film, all incredible places you can visit etc. We can talk about anything you want in fact, however my favourite topics are: travelling, films, cooking, cultural differences and history. I consider Gdańsk and Poland as one of the best places on Earth and I truly believe that our beautiful language is hard but possible to learn. Give it a try!

Teaching Polish since 2016, English part-time since 2013. Two times (Nov. 2017 - Feb. 2018, Feb. - March 2020) spent couple of months in Kenya as a teacher in a primary school. I was also working as a translator on documentary film festival: responsible for preparing Polish subtitles to foreign movies and correcting them. I can help you with speaking more confidently, understanding the grammar, reducing the accent and much more!

It is really hard to tell about lessons pace because everything is individual. Although I have created my personal syllabus (mostly for the beginners), the number of things we discuss on a particular lesson may vary. I am always prepared for the lesson and I like to be organized, however I can't demand the same from a student. So certainly you will never feel stressed with me :) If you want we can talk all the time, but I can also send you videos, articles, homework, grammar exercises: as you wish! PLEASE NOTE: Although it is impossible to set this up on italki directly, I would like to receive bookings at least 24 hours in advance.

Emilia had me talking in polish more than I have in my life, even if my vocabulary is still so limited. She was supportive even when correcting mistakes and elicited from me a lot of phrases. We talked about a lot of subjects and I felt very good chemistry, as we seem to have many things in common and similar way of thinking. My confidence in my language skills sky-rocketed and this is a very good sign. Dziękuję bardzo i do zobaczenia! ;)

I really enjoyed the lesson. I learned interesting words like ściema and kadzidło. Some of the topics were really challenging which is exactly what I want. I'm really looking forward to the next lesson.
