I think all of our lessons have been super cool for the past two months. It's not the really interesting texts, or the songs we listen to, or the fascinating TED talks we translate from English. It's the brilliant, prepared and engaging teacher I have. Today we read about America struggling with the Vietcong offensives in January 1968. When I think about that, I have no idea how I'm doing such a thing in another language. If having 139 lessons hadn't made it clear already, I'm totally hooked. Thanks for your time, patience and effort. We're doing so well. See you on Friday)))

Just finish my first lesson with Julia, and i can say that i extremely or крайне enjoyed it :D Julia explains vocab/gramatical issues very clearly and she is very patient and although i had so many and unusual question, she answered all of them. She also sent me all the needed materials during and after the class. Add to that, she is a really nice person. I am now excited to continue studying Russian with her. Спасибо, Юлия! До встречи!

Another good lesson with Julia. She is punctual, comes prepared, and has a good attitude. And, of course, she knows her subject matter.

The lesson was great! I am fluent in Russian, but there are still mistakes that I make when I speak and I find it really difficult to read academic articles, write essays, or talk about complex topics. I thought that on italki I wouldn't be able to find a teacher who can teach me from this level, as I assumed that italki is mostly for students just starting out in a language, but I am happy to say that she was still able to help me improve my Russian. We read an article together about a study done in psychology, and she was attentive to my errors. Then she asked me a lot of questions about it, and I was way out of my comfort zone talking about a scientific article, but Julia was very patient and prompt in correcting me or offering me a more eloquent manner to express myself in. The lesson was engaging and it was designed according to my goals that I messaged her about. Thank you :)

Another excellent lesson, as usual. Julia comes prepared with a lesson plan and a good attitude. She isn't shy about correcting my pronunciation mistakes...even if that means repeating a word four or five times. She always makes our lessons just challenging enough to make me focus, but not so difficult that I get frustrated. It's a good balance of new material and review of old material.

On time. Excellent prepared lesson. Good amount of repetion, pronuncation practice, grammar, and patience. I have already booked 10 more lessons with Julia.
