Hi, I’m Roberta and I’m a native Italian speaker. I have a degree in Social Anthropology, I work as Project Manager in a translation company and I've been teaching on italki since June 2017. I know very well how difficult and demanding it can be to learn a new language and for this reason I’m always very patient and supportive. I can help you to improve your Italian level in many different ways. If you need to become fluent in order to talk with your Italian friends, if you wish to improve your pronunciation or learn new words, or if you want to know more about Italian culture, tradition and daily life, I can help. I like to create a relaxed atmosphere in order to put you at ease. During the first lesson I introduce myself and I ask many questions to identify all your needs in order to set up the perfect lesson for you! Every student has different goals so my method is based on flexibility. During the lesson I speak Italian as much as I can, slowly or very fast if you prefer, but if you need I can also use English. My ultimate goal is to help you understand my language and my culture in the most diverse and enjoyable way possible because I really love Italy and I consider myself very lucky to live here, and I wish to share all I know.

I'm a tutor, not a professional teacher so I can't help you if you are a complete beginner but if you already know the basics of the Italian language (A1), then we can start a journey together. I use different kinds of materials: flashcards, graduated books, newspaper articles, texts with many different topics, song lyrics... it depends on your level, personal goals and wishes! We can talk about anything you want and if you have a special project (translations, proofreading, information to organize a trip...) I'll support you as best as I can!

With Roberta I've done any kind of exercices I needed to manage in italian my groups in Paris. She's very organized, friendly and enthusiastic. We have studied with varied materials, exercices, practiced grammar structures and discussed what I have chosen. For the best we have done together topics for my meetings in italian and she always gave me good advices and methods to get people talking. I strongly recommend her ! Jacques

I really enjoyed the lesson today. I am interested in Italy and we read about Sicily. This was enhanced by Roberta's personal memories of the island. The lesson activities were reading, translation, pronunciation and a spontaneous aural exercise. It was a perfect lesson.
