How do people celebrate the new year in your country?

We usually wear new dresses, get together with our families to coke and eat dumplings，and visit our relatives and friends to celebrate the new year. The most important thing in Chinese New Year is to lay down the misfortunes in the past and restore the hope for the future. Absolutely，New Year is a good chance for a new beginning.

In my country Japan, we eat soba. It's Japanese noodles. We call this "Toshikoshi soba". Also I think most of people watch TV. I always watch "Kouhaku". It's a music program and we can know whose songs were the popular in that year. Some people goes temple in the night. They rang the big bell. In the new year day I went to beach and saw a first sunrise! It was beautiful but the temperature was so cold.lol

I think the real celebration takes place on the social media.messaging and wishing everyone of contact list and posting pictures of the celebration and status etc..

In Brasile, generalmente il capodanno è festeggiato in spiaggia, le persone credono che il colore dell’abbigliamento hanno un significato, ad esempio Bianco significa che nel nuovo anno avrai pace, Giallo significa che avrai fortuna con soldi.

In my country we celebrate new year on 31 December to 1 January. We sit down all family around the big table with traditional food. Traditional new year’s food is a winter salad, olivie and something else. When president says his congratulations, we give gifts to the family. We put gifts under the tree. I think, all people love new year, because this holiday is amazing and all of you love to receive gifts.

À la 31 de décembre, les gents, avec sons amis ou famille ensemble, dîner. Quand la minuit s'approche, les gents prépare des raisins secs et le champagne. Quand il est minuit, nous sortir pour voir des feux d'artifice et bisous tous les personnes, tandis souhaiter Bonne Année. Après, chaque personne mangent ses douze raisins pour douze désir et boir le champagne.
