I began my teaching career in a local high school teaching senior History and junior Social Studies for five years. While playing cricket in England for two seasons I also taught Key Stage 3 History close to London. After this I moved to China and taught senior English and oral English to junior students. Although I have never formally trained in teaching language, I have voluntarily taught Japanese for many years. I’ve attended to language exchange lessons in Toronto and New York and taught Japanese to people from all over the world (e.g. American, Canadian, Russian, Polish, German, Chinese, Korean, Indian etc.) from very beginners to fluent people. I made close friends who learn Japanese and we always asked and taught each other when I was studying English. One of my best friends is an American and he still asks me about the Japanese language even after he moved to Japan.
