I have been teaching English for over 20 years, and Macedonian and Serbian for about 5 years. My classes are student centered, so my priority is to assess what the students need and what their learning style is. Once I find out what is important for the students, I tailor my lessons to them and personalize my instruction. The most important factor for me in learning languages is to enjoy and have fun during the process.

I am an experienced instructor and native speaker of Macedonian. I have 20 years of experience in teaching, and in 2008 I began to offer online lessons. In my classes, I exclusively use materials in Macedonian, Serbian, and Croatian, as well as own personal materials. It is also worth mentioning that I am a strong supporter of the modern communicative approach.

I have a Master degree in the English language and literature, with French being my second language, and I have amassed over six years of teaching experience. I have mostly been teaching online and working with people from different cultures, but I also have significant experience in teaching in actual brick-and-mortar schools. It is my belief that a language teacher does not only teach grammar and vocabulary, but also serves as a guide through culture and values of the people who speak that language. I have been learning English for 14 years now. I often use it in daily life and on my travels, and I recently decided to have a go at teaching it. Learning English with me will be very simple, fun and creative. For me, it is important that my students leave my lessons feeling happy, enthusiastic and willing to learn more. My students are welcome to share about their culture and to exchange experiences and ideas. My goal is to adapt my teaching strategies to student needs.

I have been improving my teaching methods through years by attending seminars in different fields and trying to find the easiest possible way to help my students learn a foreign language effectively.I like being a teacher because at the same time I teach my students and learn from them as well. Hello everybody. My name is Ivana. I am from Serbia. I know it might be "not so much attractive" to hear that someone is from Serbia or another Balkan country but the best thing about this is that I can teach you serbian, croatian, bosnian, montenegrian:-). I would say these languages are all the same with small regional differences and it is a kind of political issue that we all call it differently. I know that many people prefer native speakers, but it can sometimes be tricky. The native speakers are good teachers only if they are foreign langauge teachers, believe me. I also teach latin and italian so I think I could be a good choice for you:-)
