I've been teaching on Italki since 2019 and I had many students from countries around the world. On Italki I teach Catalan and Spanish (A1-C2) (as my native languages) and Latin (A1-C2) which I studied at A-levels and at the university. Also, I've been teaching Catalan and Spanish face to face to foreign students in Catalonia. Faig classe a Italki des del 2019 i he tingut alumnes de països de tot el món. I had experience as a particular english teacher as well as spanish teacher for people of different ages. I like to prepare my classes according to my clients goals using didactic material. I have approximately 17 years of formal and private Spanish teaching experience. I am very sensitive to the needs of the student and I try, from the first moment, to inspire confidence in their own learning. I really like working from a lexical approach, as well as dealing with aspects of listening comprehension and prosody (cadence, intonation curve, rhythm, etc.). I think I am the perfect teacher for those who are at an intermediate or advanced level and need to communicate more complex or specific content, such as those from the business field or those from work, professional, or academic settings.

Tengo más de 5 años de experiencia en la enseñanza del inglés y español en los niveles de educación desde básica hasta posgrado y profesionistas en el ámbito privado. Me encanta acercar a mis estudiantes a la cultura latinoamericana en todos los ámbitos desde la vida cotidiana hasta el ámbito empresarial.

Como profesora podría decir que soy exigente pero al mismo tiempo comprensible y trato de posicionarme en el lugar del otro para entender sus falencias. I have over 3 years of experience teaching both English and Spanish to non-native speakers. I taught for a year in Japan and 5 months in Costa Rica. I also have lots of online tutoring/teaching experience. I am excited to teach you English and know you will enjoy our time together!

Since 2015 I have taught full time to students from 13 to 65 years of age, from basic academic skills to advanced business levels (for companies like Amazon, LinkedIn, Burger King and Walmart), and to people from all continents; always adapting to their needs. I got my certification as a foreign language teacher from the National Autonomous University of Mexico in 2019. I can switch from English to Spanish or vice versa if needed (but I generally prefer only to speak in the language I teach), and I can also support with different accents, formal expressions or slang. I have helped others presenting international certifications such as the IELTS, TOEFL and USA and Mexico citizenship.

I prioritise communication above grammar or structures, which are important but by themselves they do not guarantee you fluent communication in the target language! That is why I like to use authentic material: movies, series, songs, pieces of news from the media, even a cooking class (making of empanadas, for instance!). I'm an educational psychologist I like to explain complex topics in the easiest way. I get to know my students well to understand their learning process in order to use the tools that will be more effective for each of them.
