I have been a tutor for over three years. In a few months I will start my teacher training for the subjects German language and literature as well as politics-economics at the university. I am very patient, always in a good mood and flexible. I prepare my lessons for you conscientiously and individually. My main focus with teaching is to give students confidence in speaking. My lessons are a safe place, where language can be explored as deeply as the students want. I love sharing cultural specifics, use texts as basis for discussions (in general but also in particular about new vocabulary and hard grammar) and tongue twisters for pronunciation. After the lesson the student should feel full and satisfied as if they just enjoyed a great meal. The new material needs to be digested, but already left a taste, so my students feel at bit of progress right away.

As a tutor I try to adapt to the needs and interests of the students. I want to pick’em up where they’re standing language-wise. Besides being empathetic, patient, creative and flexible on content, I want the lessons to be fun! Especially regarding the preciseness and seriousness that the German language tends to represent, I think humor is a great tool to make it more accessible and easygoing. Another thing that makes learning German more fun, is to focus on topics that are relevant to the student. But having fun doesn't mean that success is secondary. My conversation practices are outcome-oriented according to the goal the student wants to achieve. We'll work on an audible improvement! :)

I already have experience teaching students and adults and have a lot of fun to get to know new people from lots of different places and converse with you about your interests, your opinions and your culture while teaching you German. I like to prepare classes individually for my students to keep the motivation going. As well I try to form a positive environment, so you feel comfortable.

While I've been trained in more formal approaches to language teaching, I believe firmly in the power of communication and the learning opportunities it affords. This means that I like to place focus on structured grammatical learning for beginners, but to reinforce it with immersive communication. As a teacher, I'm fun and relaxed, and love speaking to people all over the world. I'll correct what's relevant and what you want to correct, but won't stop you every two seconds - instead, I'll compile a list of notable errors, and go through them with you. Mostly, you'll correct yourself!

It is very important to me that everyone enjoys my lessons. I believe it is very important to be relaxed and have fun while learning, so I make it a point to provide an environment that is free from stress and enjoyable. I really think, enjoying learning is already halfway to success. :-) I have already learned some languages as well and I am still learning more, so I really understand the difficulties of learning a new language, but I also have experience in how to overcome those as well. I am currently learning Chinese and I enjoy it very much.

I have recently completed the 180 Hour TEFL Course. I have been teaching German online. When I lived in Germany, we learned that the best way to improve your language skills is to speak. Similarly as a teacher, I believe interacting and speaking a language improves confidence and builds vocabulary.

In my experience the biggest problem with learning a language is that the students think they need to get it perfectly right every time they say something. This stops you from talking freely, and makes you fal short of your full potential. In my lessons, I will encourage you to speak without being afraid of making mistakes. I offer different kinds of lessons, some follow a course structure, others are only focused on conversation. Of course it's also possible to mix a structural approach with free speaking.

I will introduce you not only to the Russian and German languages, but also to the peculiarities of Russian and German culture, I will give you the correct pronunciation and will emphasize speaking. Since I myself have learned and still learn foreign languages, I know the obstacles facing students. I offer individually tailored curricula and help my students overcome the fear of speaking.
