Ich unterrichte hier auf italki schon ein paar Jahre und habe bald meine 2000 Unterrichtseinheit. Mein absoluter Fokus liegt in meinen Unterrichten auf dem erreichen der Individialziele meiner Schüler.

Ich habe auch Migrationshintergrund. Dies hat mir beim Unterricht viel geholfen und habe viel Erfolg erzielt. Die Quote mein bestandenen Schüler ist mindestens 75 %. I'm experienced in studying foreign languages myself, in school I learned English, French and Spanish. But to be honest, it was not as succesfull as I wished. Later, I found much better methods of language learning than the traditional classromm and I'm teaching myself Russian what I like very much. I'm a very empathic and sensitive person, so I can very well adopt to different people and demands. My focus is on structured conversation training, since this is so essential - and most difficult for many students.

Das Wichtigste ist Spaß beim Deutschlernen haben, deshalb steht das immer an oberste Stelle! Depending on how much time/how intensively you want to learn German, I design the input in my lessons. I will engage my young students with child appropriate fun game/songs/stories & short videos ( w/subtitles). I may also speak entirely in German. My goals are for the children to become excited about their lesson and enjoy their time without even noticing that they are studying and learning a foreign language! I am customizing the lesson to my student's needs, desires, goals & available timetable. The curriculum will be totally tailored to ensure the most successful outcome and will be adjusted according to the student's accomplishments and abilities. For several years now, I have had numerous video calls with people from many countries of all continents including a lot of English, French and Spanish native speakers, practising my own foreign languages and helping them to improve their German. So if you speak any of the languages mentioned above, I can assure you that I am very well aware of the typical challenges you encounter with regards to German grammar and pronunciation. I prefer an informal and relaxed teaching style. Besides my passion for languages, I enjoy reading, running, travelling, photography, psychology, philosophy, learning about different lifestyles and cultures, and many more.

I can help you learn basics of German, English or Croatian language; teach you commonly used expressions, conversational phrases, or just help you with your school lessons or homework. You can also select a topic you are interested in, and I can prepare it for our next language session so you can practice speaking, learn grammar rules, or whatever you think you want to improve.

I've been described as a chill, friendly and very supportive teacher by my students. I'm flexible and creative, and always try to find ways to make learning German fun and more effective for my students. After all, everyone is different in how they learn something best. As mentioned, I have taught German to elementary school kids and middle aged people. I have tutored native German speakers (in honing their writing skills) and foreigners learning German as secondary language since 2019. I'm also used to work with students who are not quite confident in German yet. So if you are a beginner, don't worry and let's give it a try!

I am a firm believer in making learning - especially language learning - fun and am convinced that with this, dedication and immersion you can get pretty much anywhere in a language! But also: don't be afraid to mess up! Everybody makes mistakes when getting into a new language (I've been there), and sometimes it will seem like you'll never stop making the same mistakes, but I am happy to help and go over things multiple times.

Ich unterrichte ausschließlich Erwachsene ab 18 Jahren. Die Stunden finden in einer freundlichen Atmosphäre statt, wo man keine Angst vor der Sprache hat. Alle Lernmaterialien stelle ich meinen Studenten zur Verfügung.

I see myself as a practical learner therefore my preferred approach is to learn by practice! In schools and language courses, languages often get analyzed rather than practiced which is why so many people make no progress after "studying a language" for months. Learning a language is like painting in the sense that you don't need to know the atomic structure of colors to be able to paint a nice picture. In this same way you don't need to know all the rules and technical terms to successfully use a language. In my lessons you will actively practice speaking German without worrying to much about the mistakes which will ultimately make it more fun and enjoyable for you.

Als Lehrkraft habe ich an verschiedenen Stellen wertvolle Erfahrungen gesammelt: ich habe ein Praktikum an der Deutschen Schule in Oslo absolviert, habe in Deutschland mit jungen Menschen gearbeitet, die Deutsch als Fremdsprache lernten und als Privattutorin Englisch in Kambodscha unterrichtet. Als Lehrkraft möchte ich stets die Perspektive der Lernenden einbeziehen, da ich selbst weiß wie wichtig es ist, einen geduldigen Lehrer zu haben, der gut zuhören kann und sich der Lerngeschwindigkeit anpasst.

Two years ago I started teaching on Italki and also gave extra lesson to high school students. From August 2017 until December 2018 I taught German and English in a language school in Ho Chi Minh City. The biggest city in Vietnam and gained a lot of experience in teaching in front of a class. During this time I realized one of the biggest challenges in learning a language. Self-confidence. Also the structure and way of teaching was not always efficient. In order to support the Vietnamese education system and especially the students, together with my Co-Founders we set up our own German language center in Vietnam. Currently we teach all levels and hope to inspire more young students!

I'm not a big proponent of old-school style language teaching but rather like to introduce my students to new, innovative methods and figure out the one that works best for them.

Das grösste Problem ist, finde ich, dass Leute sich unter Druck gefühlt setzen eine Sprache in kurzer Zeit beherrschen zu müssen und schnell in selbiger Sprache antworten zu müssen. Wenn man sich weniger unter Druck gesetzt fühlt, kann man sich auch besser ausdrücken.
