Meine Arbeit im Kinderarbenteuerhof und im Waldkindergarten in Freiburg hat mir besonders Spaß gemacht und dort habe ich Erfahrungen beim Begleiten von Kindern und Jugendlichen in Lernprozessen sammeln können. In meiner Tätigkeit als Tagesmutter habe ich die Lernbegleitung von 7 heranwachsenden Jugendlichen durch tägliche Hausaufgabenbetreuung übernommen. Derzeit unterrichte ich Deutsch,Mathematik und Musik für Freilehrner-Kinder in Costa Rica.

Besides talking in German, I love to meet new people, learn about different lifestyles and cultures, travel, read, and most of all challenge me everyday.

I am currently learning my third language. I really do understand how hard it can be to learn a new language, let alone to master it. I am a very relaxed teacher, I know from experience that the most effective way of learning is by enjoying the process and having fun! I am also pretty flexible when it comes to teaching, depending on your level, need, interest or simply just that mood of that day.

I'm a native German teacher who has been teaching German for 4 years. My specializations are: GOETHE TEST PREPARATION, GERMAN FOR WORK (Switzerland, Germany) and PRONUNCIATION.

In den Jahren 2015/16 habe ich eine zusätzliche Ausbildung zum Trainer für Deutsch als Fremd- bzw. Zweitsprache gemacht. Ich habe dann zuerst in Österreich Deutschkurse für Asylwerber abgehalten. Seit 2016 unterrichte ich zunehmend auch im Internet. In 2015/16 I completed additional education as a trainer for German as a foreign or second language. Then I first taught German for asylum seekers in Austria. Since 2016 I have been teaching more and more online.

My main focus with teaching is to give students confidence in speaking. My lessons are a safe place, where language can be explored as deeply as the students want. I love sharing cultural specifics, use texts as basis for discussions (in general but also in particular about new vocabulary and hard grammar) and tongue twisters for pronunciation. After the lesson the student should feel full and satisfied as if they just enjoyed a great meal. The new material needs to be digested, but already left a taste, so my students feel at bit of progress right away.

I'm experienced in studying foreign languages myself, in school I learned English, French and Spanish. But to be honest, it was not as succesfull as I wished. Later, I found much better methods of language learning than the traditional classromm and I'm teaching myself Russian what I like very much. I'm a very empathic and sensitive person, so I can very well adopt to different people and demands. My focus is on structured conversation training, since this is so essential - and most difficult for many students.

Overcoming difficulties and actually improving your German by actively using it will make you feel more comfortable and confident after a short while and will keep you going in the long run. For all topics I have easy-to-remember explanations (e.g. for the adjective endings), which you will get used to quickly. We will always come back to new subjects and words until you understand them and we will only proceed at your pace. Everything we discuss will be put down in different google docs (chat - contextualization - writing). We will be working on them together.

I want to help you learn daily Situations, travel phrases, role play, question and answer activities, describing activities, Grammar exercises and much more. Furthermore, my classes are always prepared for your level. People usually say I am patient, open-minded, kind and optimistic. I love having deep, inspiring conversations, love learning from people and listening to their stories. I think that every human live is unique, precious and truly awesome in the original sense of this word — inspiring awe. I offer speaking practice in Russian, English and German. Russian is my native language, I was born and live since childhood in Moscow, I have very standard Russian with classic Moscow pronunciation and vocabulary. I am perfectly fluent in English and German. I don't "feel" these languages as good as I feel Russian, but I know German and English grammar through and through due to my university background.

I was often used to help refine the pronunciation and sentence building of my schoolmates, when I was younger. Thus, I can easily speak slower, with an accent that is easier to understand or use words which are more basic. I have learned a lot on iTalki, until now. I believe my teaching has improved and my system works. I have had complete beginners, thus I feel comfortable with taking the first steps with you. Nonetheless, I am also guiding more advanced students. I myself do occasionally make mistakes, whilst on this path of becoming a good tutor, if something surpasses my knowledge, I will make sure to find it after our lesson and fill you in.

My goal as a teacher is that you get the most out of the class. How do I want to achieve that? 1) Create a comfortable atmosphere: You have to be relaxed and feel comfortable in order to learn. I will try to create a very comfortable atmosphere so you can concentrate on the lesson. 2) Teaching a fun class: The class should be fun and interesting, that’s when we get the best results. I would love to know about topics that interest you and consider them in my preparation of the class. 3) Speak as much German as possible: You have to get used to the structure, the sound and the rhythm of the language. That's why I want to encourage you that we speak as much German as possible during the class.

Ich kann gut zuhören. Du wirst in unserem Unterricht die Chance bekommen, viel zu sprechen. Ich lasse meine Schüler gern die Sprache üben und beantworte alle Fragen. Wenn du besondere Wünsche oder Bedürfnisse hast, kannst du mir die mitteilen. Ich erkläre dir komplizierte Strukturen mit einfachen Wörtern und Beispielen, damit du die deutsche Sprache besser verstehst.

Having fun and being interested in the culture is key to learning languages. Already in Chile I did lessons with friends on an exchange basis, where I noticed: "if you want, you can". I will show you why it is worth making an effort by exchanging ideas about my culture, our mentality and life in Germany. With the fun of it, you'll be motivated and happy to learn.

I have always been tutoring others in languages as it is one of my key talents to explain difficulties to people in a thorough manner. I have traveled overseas to teach students of different levels and ages. I also taught as an online teacher for several years and I obtained several certificates throughout my years of teaching.

I teach Italian, German, English, Spanish, Russian, French, Dutch, Catalan, Portuguese, Greek, Hindi, Arabic and Esperanto (at different levels). I specialise in multilingual teaching (up to 10 languages in one course) and I am a certified language examiner for English, Italian, Russian, French, German and Spanish. I hold an MA in International Communication, an MA in Didactics, two BAs in Translating and Interpreting and a CELTA (Certification in English Language Teaching to Adults).

I have studied some dozen or so languages to varying degrees, so I’m quite experienced with various methods of learning. I have also taught classes in university before, both language and otherwise.

I have been a tutor for over three years. In a few months I will start my teacher training for the subjects German language and literature as well as politics-economics at the university. I am very patient, always in a good mood and flexible. I prepare my lessons for you conscientiously and individually. I discovered my passion for teaching not by teaching languages but by teaching new concepts. Working as a Scuba Diving Instructor put me in the position of having to teach more complex ideas to students often unfamiliar with them. From there, I became inspired to teach in a more traditional classroom setting. After completing a 120-hour TEFL course, I gained some classroom experience teaching English in a primary school. During this time, I learned a lot about how to engage with students and react to their individual needs.
