In Korea, I worked as a English tutor since as far as back -10 years ago. And I've been teaching Korean for about a year now. It is my hope that as a 1:1 Italki class, we can set our goals and have our classes personalized based on your specific needs as well as making sure that the class doesn't get boring.

I'll help you develop your confidence as well as your language skills. I'm an actor so have professional expertise in voice and pronunciation skills. I'll help you sound and feel like a native English speaker. I'll evaluate your level at the start and then set goals which we'll monitor during the course of your lessons and keep you on track. I'll listen to what YOU want and YOU need. I'll keep lessons vibrant, alive and fun as good learning and laughter are paramount.

I specialize in teaching Levantine Arabic for non-native speakers, and I have a wide experience teaching MSA as well. I can also help you understand different Arabic dialects.

I make sure that students get to practice and develop their language in order to be at the level they are aiming for, in a relaxed and friendly manner where they can gain confidence using new language. I can help especially in exam preparation having worked for many years in this area. I will give you shared documents, pdf's, text books & web links, as well as my own materials with outlines of essays, emails and spoken presentations. We will go through model language to target your aims and you can send me, or share any written work and I will then help you to sharpen it to succeed in your goals.

My favourite thing to teach is communication. When learning a new language, there are some problems people might run into: connotations, culture, exactly how we think, formality etc. As a teacher, I aim to teach students how to communicate with English-speaking people. I can teach communication in most settings, whether formal or informal, but my speciality is general, everyday conversation.

I'm patient and friendly and will help you work toward your English language goals with comfortable yet professional lessons. I am TESOL/TEFL certified and prepared to work with adult students who want or need to learn English. I speak at a natural pace and use natural wording and phrases, to help you get used to how a native speaker actually talks, but I will always try to speak in a way you can understand.

I moved to South Korea over a year ago and started teaching English to students of all ages. I have tutored and taught in academies while I've been here. It's always exciting to meet new students, as they all have different personalities. I have spent many hours assisting medical students in preparation for their USMLE Step 2 exam. This includes acting as the patient role, developing scripts, and empathy advice for a more natural conversation.

After a long career in financial services, I have decided to take a different direction and have moved into a new field of Information Technology. Being in a business environment for a very long time gave me an advantage in business speech and communication however due to my technical pursuit I am able to converse even on the most technical of topics.

I am a creative and modern teacher. I take time to get to know each of my students, your culture, your learning style, and what's important to you. When you buy a package, I am able to build upon each lesson through review, follow-up questions, and really getting to know you. In addition to class time, I spend a lot of creating lesson plans, grading homework, researching, and developing new skills, material, and content. I recommend that students schedule 2-3 lessons per week (plus plan on additional time working independently outside of class) to achieve the best results. Book lessons in advance if you need a specific time slot.

I started teaching English as part of my gap year travels by teaching students in government secondary schools in Tanzania. Later on, I successfully completed a TEFL course and I taught English on my integrated year abroad (as part of my university degree) in Austria. I started teaching again in Cologne in July 2018. I love helping students improve their English language skills and become more confident in using their new knowledge with each passing day.
