I have over six years' experience teaching languages to children, teenagers, and adults of different backgrounds and nationalities. I have taught English and Italian in Italy, Australia, Germany, Macedonia, England, Slovakia and Spain on a one-to-one basis as well as in a group setting. I took my CELTA Certificate (Pass B) in 2016 at IH Milan. In 2018 I also completed the IH CYLT course that helped me develop my skills in teaching young leaners. I have been teaching on ITALKI since 2014 and it is the best job I have ever had. I have been teaching some of my students online since the very beginning. I have also met some of them in person, either in their own countries or in Italy.

In addition to two years teaching English oral expression, I also have two years of experience teaching high school biology, environmental science, and anatomy/ physiology, so I'm happy to talk science in English with you. I have taught English online since March 2019. I have had the opportunity to meet the most wonderful students and watch them grow in knowledge every day. I am patient and understand that language learning is a skill that does not come naturally to everyone.

I have always loved languages and have learnt them from an early age as a child. This was my main motivation to become a teacher over 15 years ago. Apart from teaching I have also spent time contracting to a language school based at one of the universities in Auckland to develop teaching materials for new teachers to help them on their teacher training journey. I am currently completing my Masters of Education which I believe will enhance my knowledge about education in general and also my teaching practice.

When you're learning a new language, you automatically also gain knowledge about a new culture. It's like peeping into a whole new world! That is my main motivation for learning a new language - together with of course getting new best friends from all around the world. And the motivation only grows stronger when you move to a country where you don't understand anything at all! I always dive deep into the language that I'm learning. Every time I analyse some aspect of the new language, I find similarities to what I already know, and when I find these treasures, I can’t help to share them. I really love when something, which at first sight seemed very complex, to become rather simple.

I am a native English speaker who has been teaching for 5 years. I have both a CELTA and a PGCE. I taught English as a Second Language (ESL) in Thailand and Myanmar, and have taught History in schools in England. I have a BA, a CELTA (an introductory English-teaching qualification), a second language teaching certificate from a local university, and have taken language teaching classes at the postgraduate level as part of my MA.  All of these courses, combined with my years of experience, have helped me to grow and learn as a teacher. My classes are student-centered.  That means that, even though I'll be doing the preparatory work to plan and design the best possible class for you, ultimately you will be doing the real work by speaking and writing and producing the language in class.  I'll be doing as little speaking and as little 'teaching' as possible.

I started teaching English during my university days in 2002. Since then I have taught thousands of students from all over the world. I have experience of teaching people from many different countries, age groups, and professions. I specialise in teaching English to adults. I work Monday to Friday as a full-time teacher, so my availability to teach on iTalki is likely to be limited to weekends. What originally led me to teaching were my high school teachers and my mother who always has talked about her grandfather that was a teacher. Teaching is a noble profession. I enjoy explaining how we in the US say the words (pronounce them) and how we put sentences together so they sound right. I think I'm a good teacher of English.

I started to teach 5 years ago in Spain and it was a total coincidence and since then I love it. After 3 years of teaching in Spain I decided to go to Australia, where I did my CAE certificate and I obtained TESOL and TECSOL certificate for English teachers. I worked with students all ages from 5 months to 66 years old, all different levels ( beginners to advance). I worked as a teacher in Spain, Australia and China. I really enjoy teaching and I don´t want to do anything else in my life. I always have an amazing connection with my students. It is important to create an excellent atmosphere in my classroom.

Growing up, I always helped my classmates with English tests and later on I started teaching children in my hometown English. I would love to continue sharing my beautiful language with foreigners, as well as helping Spanish speakers with their English, by having casual conversations and learning from them as well! -- Desde que era muy joven siempre ayudé a mis compañeros de clase a estudiar inglés, y más adelante, comencé a enseñarle inglés y español a niños. I have recently received my 160 hours TEFL/TESL certification, but all my life I have enjoyed learning about other cultures. In my current job of working with individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities, I have learned patience, the importance of being creative and attentive. Within this setting, I am currently teaching a music class and a math class that includes beginner to intermediate levels that include teaching balancing of checkbooks/accounts/savings and other life skills involved in spending, saving funds for whatever they may want in the future. Seeing the positive, perpetual response I get from these classes, has aided in my resolution to teach.

I have 2 years experience teaching English online to adults and children and I really enjoy it. It's so rewarding when you have a student grow in their confidence and fluency and abilities in the language. I am TEFL certified. As a language learner myself (Indonesian), I know and understand the difficulties people face when learning a new language.
