I've been teaching English for 6 years. I'm always patient and very friendly in teaching. I'm here to help you learn English through sources published by oxford and Cambridge universities. We can practice daily conversations and learn new vocabularies. You can learn English in a fun and relaxed environment with me.

As a teacher I would say that I am social, objective and caring. I love to make the learning process fun and enjoyable Social: I try to shape it like a social meeting where the student has opportunities to speak, question, observe, discover, grow and express. In my five years teaching English lessons online and in-person, I have worked with numerous students from a variety of linguistic and cultural backgrounds including Korean, Italian, French, Russian, Chinese, Dutch, Israeli, German, Turkish, Polish, Japanese. My students have ranged from young elementary-level English learners to PhD students, university professors to business professionals working in highly specialized fields. I hold a 168-hour TEFL Certificate, issued by The TEFL Academy, accredited by Qualifi, the DEAC (Distance Education Accrediting Commission) as well as a Certificate to Teach IELTS issued by Cambridge English Language Assessment of Cambridge University.

I have a great interest in learning other languages which also gives me an insight into different cultures. I would very much like to teach English and enable students to gain an insight into the English culture, so that we can better understand each other. I am a professional teacher, and I have a TEFL qualification, so I understand how English should be taught to those whose mother tongue is not English, yet have not had the chance to put those skills to use. I also love teaching British English, so I run classes specifically for learning British sounds and combinations.

I'm privately teaching two adults from México, giving lessons to kids in China and teaching on Italki. My students that are learning English right now are improving their language skills and achieving their goals. The lessons are custom-built to their needs as well as a plan I make them to improve their English. I give them weekly homework to remember what they learned from the lesson. In December of 2020, I received my TEFL/TESOL certification to teach English as a Second Language. I have also volunteered coached high school bowling and high school golf for one year. My passion and patience helped the students enjoy golf and bowling. It was a very rewarding experience!

I’m a professional language teacher. I’ve also studied translation and am certified to translate documents between English and Brazilian Portuguese. I studied Spanish and Education in college. After graduating I traveled to Brazil and ended up living there for almost 4 years. In Brazil I worked as an English teacher and did some translation. In 2015 I came back to USA and pursued a Master’s degree in Spanish Literature. I finished that in 2017 and now I’m currently working on a Phd in Literature and Cultural studies in the Spanish and Portuguese department of my university.

Me as a teacher.... what can I say? I'm super passionate about teaching! And most of my students say that I make learning languages interesting and fun, which is my goal. At the moment, I live and teach English in the sunny Dominican Republic. As a guitar player, lyricist and avid reader, I have found that reading interesting stories and listening to podcasts and music is a marvellous way to maintain motivation because when you connect with a language emotionally, it strengthens your learning. For this reason, I see listening as the key quality for myself as a teacher to help my students.
